个人简介
I am an associate professor and group leader with strong interdisciplinary background in biology, chemistry, biophysics and nanoscience and expertise in investigation of membrane proteins as well as interface of nanomaterials with biological samples. Through my career, I have measured the strong impact and numerous benefits of collaborative projects and networks to bring my research activities at a predominant international position. This has been achieved by building of long term national and international collaborations with both academic and industrial partners
My research Group exploits novel nanomaterials for the development of several types of biosensors: (1) in cell biosensors suitable for the fundamental investigation of membrane protein signalling and the establishment of novel generation of cellular assays for drug discovery; (2) 2D and 3D protein arrays suitable for bioanalytics, proteomics and diagnostics. These novel tools are exploited for the investigation of membrane proteins in vitro and in cells.
