个人简介
Michael Andrus is an Assistant Scholar Scientist in the Center for Advanced Power Systems at Florida State University. He has worked at CAPS since 2003 in the area of power system simulation and modeling. He got his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. His research experience is in large-scale modeling of integrated power systems (IPS) for the U.S. Navy's all-electric ships. He has experience applying CAPS’ Real-time Digital Simulator (RTDS) to power systems modeling problems. His current project responsibilities include simulation and modeling of the Next Generation IPS (NGIPS), Medium Voltage DC (MVDC) shipboard power system, the MVDC power system for the Navy's T -Craft project, and Silicon Power Corporation's solid-state, fault current limiter, with emphasis on system integration into Consolidated Edison's New York City power grid.
