Maedeh's research focuses primarily on sustainable water resources and water systems management, with a particular emphasis on addressing challenges related to climate change impacts and the complex interrelationships between water, energy, and food security (known as the WEF nexus). To achieve this, she employs a range of research approaches, including multi-attribute decision-making paradigms and computational and artificial intelligence techniques. Through her work, Maedeh aims to advance sustainability in environmental resources and water systems management, ultimately leading to more effective and efficient water use.
