I am pursuing a PhD in Bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego. I am currently studying injectable hydrogels for the treatment of myocardial infarction in the Christman lab. I completed a year of research abroad as a Whitaker International Research Fellow at the Cardiff University School of Optometry and Vision Sciences. There, I developed microstructure-based numerical models of the human eye. My research and project experience includes ocular biomechanics and microstructure characterization, pharmacokinetics, microfluidics, nanotechnology with biomedical applications, physiological modeling and simulation, engineering education, and course and curriculum development.
