个人简介
Paul O. Leisher (M’98–SM’14) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Bradley University, Peoria, IL, USA, in 2002 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, IL, USA, in 2004 and 2007, respectively.
He is the Chief Engineer for diode lasers with the Laser Systems Engineering and Operating Division, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore, CA, USA. Prior to joining Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, he served as an Associate Professor of Physics and Optical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Terre Haute, IN, USA) and as a Manager of Advanced Technology with nLight Corporation, Vancouver, WA, USA. He is also the Director of Advanced Lasers with Freedom Photonics, LLC, Santa Barbara, CA, USA. He has authored more than 200 technical journal articles and conference presentations and has served as principal investigator on 48 funded research projects in the area of high-power semiconductor lasers. His research interests include high-power, high-efficiency semiconductor lasers, photonic devices, and reliability.
Dr. Leisher actively serves on the committee of several IEEE conferences including the International Semiconductor Laser Conference (ISLC), Photonics Conference (IPC), and the High-Power Diode Lasers and Systems Conference (HPD). He is a former Associate Editor of the Photonics Journal and is also a senior member of SPIE and a member of OSA and ASEE.
