Rahman is currently working on a distinctive project “Bio-meditated Technique to Control Phase Changes of Porous Media in Seasonally Frozen Ground” which is funded by National Science Foundation. The aim of this project is to identify a set of antifreeze proteins which’s composition with soil may have the potentiality to alter thermal properties of frost susceptible soil and protect the soil or any infrastructure above the ground from frost related problem.
