个人简介
I am Sudip Nag, pursuing graduate studies (PhD) with the Micro/Nano Electronics Group at Electrical Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. My research interests lie at the intersection of Engineering and Biology, and its applications. My research topic is Neural Prosthesis for Retina. This brain-machine interface project aims to restore a limited degree of vision in case of complete blindness due to retinal degenerative diseases (such as RP & ARMD). I am devising novel solutions based on biocompatible multielectrodes and wirelessly powered mixed-signal circuits and systems
Previously, I have demonstrated candy-sized wearable computers, called Silicon Locket at IIT Bombay. The system is highly sophisticated and low cost, optimized for intelligent tele-medical ECG acquisition from patients at home or office. Algorithms are being developed that can automatically trigger SMS to the doctor in case of emergency, using patients mobile phone connectivity.
I am also associated with cutting-edge project on cardiac marker detection using piezo-resistive Micro-Cantilevers. The idea is to estimate the possibilities and causes of heart attacks, based on the detection of bio-markers. My role is to design and implement ultra-sensitive and low noise instrumentation platform for NEMS (Nano Electro Mechanical Systems) Sensor Interface. The technology is also successfully proven for explosive detection applications (TNT/RDX).
I always intend to perform social work. I have participated in several activities since school days. Please refer to my resume for such details.
