Sam (they/them) is a Ph.D. student in the Interaction and Media Sciences program in the Teaching & Learning Department of the School of Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Their research focuses on an interdisciplinary exploration of the development and assessment of video game expertise. Their work in the Interaction and Media Sciences Lab focuses on research into human-computer interaction via studies focusing on understanding technology from the human perspective, specifically in the context of human learning, behavior, and socio-emotional competencies.
