I am currently a Ph.D. student (4th year) in computer science department at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), co-supervised by Prof. ChengXiang Zhaiand Prof. Jian Peng. I am also working closely with Prof. Saurabh Sinah. I have board interest in problems related to medical, healthcare and biology. Currently, I am interested in designing computational models for precision medicine and cancer genomics. I am also actively building tools for my algorithms. Prior to joining UIUC, I obtained B.S. degree in Computer Science at Peking University in 2013. During my undergraduate study, I had been working on social network analysis and recommender system, supervised by Prof. Ming Zhang. I interned at Microsoft Research in the past two summers. In summer 2014, I worked with Dr. Ryen White and Dr. Eric Horvitz on mining adverse drug reactions from search log. In summer 2015, I worked with Dr. Hoifung Poon, Dr. Chris Quirk, Dr. Kristina Toutanova and Dr. Scott Yih on discovering novel drug combinations for leukaemia patients in collaboration with Oregon Health & Science University. I am a reviewer for RECOMB, IEEE BIBM, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics and AIRS.
