Shubhangi Gurudiwan (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg, India, in 2016, and the master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India, in 2018. She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the ASPIRE National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center, Utah State University, Logan, UT, USA.
Prior to joining Utah State University, she worked on developing a 500-kVA power converter for railway applications while working as a Senior Engineer and later as a Deputy Manager at Hind Rectifiers Ltd., Mumbai, India. Her research works include designing an 18-kW plug-in electric vehicle (EV) charger and a 1.5-kW gallium nitride (GaN)-based H-bridge converter. Her research interests include the design and control of dc–dc and ac–dc converters and the application of wide bandgap devices and pulsewidth modulation techniques for EV charging systems.
Ms. Gurudiwan has served as the Chair of the Utah State University IEEE-power electronics society (PELS) Student Chapter in 2023. She acted as a Graduate Student Advisor for the Utah State University Team in the 2023 IEEE International Future Energy Challenge, which secured the Third Prize.
