个人简介
Songfeng Guo received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Xi'an Xidian University, Xi'an, China, in 1982 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biomedical engineering and instrumentation from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, in 1996 and 1999, respectively.
He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, and a Research Scientist at the Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL), Pittsburgh, PA. Since 1993, he has researched the area of biomedical engineering. His research interests include biomedical instrumentation design and biomedical signal processing, and he has extensive research experience in the rehabilitation science area. He currently teaches functional neuromuscular stimulation to graduate students in the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology. Since 1999, he has participated in several HERL research projects including “The Characterizations and the Role of Caster Orientation,” the “Power Wheelchair Crash Study,” and the “Force Sensing Joystick Study.” He has also collaborated on National Institutes of Health- and Department of Veterans Affairs-funded projects, “Arm Pain in People with Paraplegia during Wheelchair Propulsion” and “Development of the GAMEcycle Exercise System.”
Dr. Guo received an award for his 1998 project: “A long-term dynamic multi-parameters monitoring and analyzing system for upper digestive tract.” He is a member of the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America.
