个人简介
Thu Nguyen recently finished her PhD in Food Technology at Massey University, New Zealand. Her PhD project was to reduce aflatoxin M1 in milk by novel methods including UVC and Cold Plasma and identify the degradation products after treatment, LC-MS was also used to determine aflatoxin M1 before and after treatment. She had her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (2006 – 2011) and Master degree in Chemical Engineering (2014 – 2016) at Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. During her Master course, she was granted ‘’Young Science and Technology Incubator Program 2014’’ award from “Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Vietnam for her Master research. She was awarded a New Zealand Aid scholarship (NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade – MFAT for developing countries – Vietnam, 2018) to do her PhD at Massey University in New Zealand. She was selected to be one of 10 winners of New Zealand Food Safety Science and Research Centre travel award for her research visiting trip at Iowa State University (2019) where she got support to build a first Cold Plasma unit based on dielectric barrier discharge in New Zealand.
