个人简介
Tomasz Urych (M) is a research assistant in Central Mining Institute in Department of Geology and Geophysics. He is a specialist in deposit geology and reservoir engineering in Laboratory of Deposit Geology and CO2 Storage. He has experience in static and dynamic reservoir modelling including simulation of CO2 storage, methane production (ECBM and CBM) and hydraulic fracturing. Since 2013 he is a member of Research Experience in Carbon Sequestration network (RECS - the premier U.S. CCUS education and training experience). He holds a MSc degree in Geology and Mining Engineering and a post-graduate degree in Technology of gas production from unconventional gas resources. He has experience in numerical simulation of CO2 geological process including:
• developing static geological 3D models for reservoir simulation,
• numerical modeling of CO2 injection into saline aquifers and coal seams,
• numerical simulation of ECBM and CBM processes,
• simulation of influence of hydraulic fracturing on CO2 storage,
• characteristics of the dynamic behavior of carbon dioxide during storage.
and using the following software:
• Schlumberger Petrel (Geoscience Core, Reservoir Engineering Core),
• Schlumberger Eclipse (Black Oil and Compositional),
• PetraSim (TOUGH2 simulator)
