Generation of liposomes using a supercritical carbon dioxide eductor vacuum system: Optimization of process variables

摘要
•SC-CO2 was used to produce liposomes without the aid of any organic solvent.•RESS strategy and Bernoulli’s principle were used to inject cargo into a eductor.•Maximum EE was 44% with the high cargo flow rate of 2.2 mL/s at 17.2 MPa and 60 °C.•Mixing of the two streams in the eductor was simulated using Finite Volume Method.
