摘要
This article proposes a fast and accurate method for simulating the effect of jitter on the signaling performance of nonlinear high-speed links, including both worst-case eye and bit error rate (BER). It finds a low-rank model to represent the large nonlinear solution space accurately. The model is constructed efficiently from several hundreds/thousands of nonlinear simulations. Furthermore, a method is developed to determine the BER of high-speed links with jitter from the low-rank model. Its lowest BER is at the level of the theoretical value. The accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of the proposed method have been validated by analyzing numerically the signal integrity (SI) of real-world nonlinear links, including a high-speed channel of 184-bit memory.
