In this paper, a finite element-based fracture prediction method for shale reservoirs was proposed using geostress field simulations, uniaxial and triaxial compression deformation tests, and acoustic emission geostress tests. Given the characteristics of tensile and shear fractures mainly developed in organic-rich shales, Griffith and Coulomb – Mohr criteria were used to calculate shale reservoirs' tensile and shear fracture rates. Furthermore, the total fracture rate of shale reservoirs was calculated based on the ratio of tension and shear fractures to the total number of fractures. This method has been effectively applied in predicting fracture distribution in the Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation shale reservoir in southeastern Chongqing, China. This method provides a new way for shale gas sweet spot optimization. The simulation results have a significant reference value for the design of shale gas horizontal wells and fracturing reconstruction programs.
Safety assessment method of the subsea pipeline under the third?party impact load has not yet reached the extent of application to engineering practice?In order to solve this problem, the finite element method is used for the research on the impact damage of subsea pipeline considering the concrete layer?Based on influences of the factors such as material nonlinearity, geometric nonlinearity and contact interface nonlinearity on structural damage and deformation of the subsea pipeline, a deep analysis is conducted for influences of falling object shape, falling object velocity, falling object mass and concrete layer thickness on plastic deformation of pipeline?The anal?ysis results show that impact damage resistance of the subsea pipeline decreases with increase of concrete layer thickness; among cube, sphere and cone of the falling object, the cone has the most severe impact damage, and the impact damage of the subsea pipeline is proportional to mass and velocity of the falling object?The study results have important reference significance for risk assessment, engineering design and disaster prevention and mitigation of the subsea pipeline.
The Chang 6 ultra-low permeability reservoirs test block of well-block B239 is developed with advanced water injec-tion. However,the development effect has not reached expectations as planned. For this reason,we carryied out the research on the effectiveness of advanced water injection on improving development results. Based on the pattern of the infill wells adjustment,we designed the research plan by combining reservoir engineering and numerical simulation method. Researches show that the advanced water injection is more effective if the well spacing of the well network system reaches the effective distance. If the well spacing is too wide,advanced water injection cannot work or the effect is little. In that case high pressure will only appear at the bottom hole,without effective displacement. This study provides theoretical basis and technical support to advanced water injection development in other low permeability and ultra-low permeability oilfields,which has an important guiding significance for the exploitation of such oilfields.
The rapid development of petroleum equipment industry sets higher demands for noise control in the rig yard.It is necessary to take action to control the main source of noise from fuel gensets.Based on one 9 000mrig project abroad,the noise source and property of the fuel gensets was analysed,and the noise control solution specifically during the design for the power house was proposed.By comparing the noise levels before and after the solution executed,the noise levels of gensets has a greatly reduction.
The electrical control method and the hydraulic control method of the Drilling Pipe Automatic Arranging System were both designed and analyzed in detail,the electrical and the hydraulic control principle diagram were both drawn.In addition,the main electrical and hydraulic components were chosen reasonably.
During the round trip operations on the offshore rig,workers have to climb to the racking board for handing operation.The work is more dangerous and taking more time with lower efficiency.A a walk type driving scheme is proposed by the conclusion of summering the pipe racking system at home and abroad.The scheme's driving mode is simple.It is easier for automatic control and it can increase the security of operation,reduce the labor intensity,improve the working efficiency of the drilling rig.The scheme has very good prospect for development.
At present,in petroleum industry,most power-driven Sand reel which is used as autonomous unit,uses gear coupling and band brake.The article generally introduces a new type power-driven Sand reel with pneumatic push-disc clutch and hydraulic disc brake,which is driven by frequency conversion AC motor and the shaft of drum is on the same line with the shaft of motor.Its structure is terse,transportation is convenient,operation is more dependable,quick and labor-cost saving.It is more safe and good at long-distance control.The power-driven Sand reel has been produced and is being used,and also achieves great effect.
