The automated generation of interactive 3D cities is a critical challenge with broad applications in autonomous driving, virtual reality, and embodied intelligence. While recent advances in generative models and procedural techniques have improved the realism and scalability of city generation, existing methods often struggle with high-fidelity asset creation, controllability, and manipulation. In this work, we present CityGenAgent, a natural language-driven framework based on large language models (LLMs) for hierarchical procedural generation of high-quality 3D cities. Our approach introduces two core programs—$\textbf{Block Program}$ and $\textbf{Building Program}$—which decompose city generation into interpretable and editable components. $\textbf{BlockGen}$ and $\textbf{BuildingGen}$ are trained to generate and execute these programs. We design Spatial Alignment Reward to enhance spatial reasoning and Visual Consistency Reward to bridge the gap between textual program descriptions and their 3D visual realizations. Additionally, benefiting from the use of programs and the model's generalization capabilities, our framework allows users to manipulate the results via natural language. Comprehensive evaluations show that CityGenAgent achieves impressive semantic alignment and higher visual quality, establishing a stronger foundation for broad applications.
Data-driven dynamics often asks how to linearize a nonlinear system. We ask instead: which observables should be advanced, and where should their futures live? This leads to Petrov Regression Of Nonlinear Evolution (PRONE), a Petrov–Galerkin regression framework based on Ψ(𝐗)K ≈ Φ(𝐘), with distinct trial and test dictionaries. In this form, DMD, EDMD, SINDy, Koopman regression, sparse regression, and low-rank regression become variants of one construction: different dictionaries, weights, and constraints. We keep the linear algebra of Koopman learning, but drop the artificial requirement that a finite model map a dictionary into itself. With this asymmetry, eigenmodes are no longer the right objects. Instead, we use singular modes, which identify the observable combinations captured by the data, their projected futures, and the strength of the coupling between the two spaces. We identify the limiting projected operator and prove L^2 convergence of the resulting nonlinear predictor. We give examples from chaotic maps, the double gyre, a pitching-airfoil wake, and Lorenz–63, where PRONE outperforms DeepONets, Fourier neural operators, and reservoir computers with considerably fewer parameters. These examples show the same message: lift once, regress once, and let the singular structure reveal statistics, transport, prediction, and dimension.
We study 4D generation to synthesize temporally coherent sequences of 3D geometry for animation and content creation. In contrast to existing SDS-based optimization methods and video-driven animation approaches, we adopt a skeleton-driven animation framework aligned with standard industrial pipelines, which enables explicit control and editing. To this end, we propose SkelGen4D, a weakly supervised feed-forward framework for text-driven mesh animation that generates explicit skeleton motions without requiring per-frame skeleton annotations. SkelGen4D first recovers temporally consistent pseudo-skeletons from animated meshes via differentiable fitting, and then generates text-conditioned skeleton motion sequences in a feed-forward manner, further refined with Motion-GRPO to ensure temporally coherent, physically plausible, and articulated animation. We evaluate our method on two large-scale benchmarks, Truebones Zoo and Diffusion4D. Our results show that our weakly supervised skeleton modeling matches or surpasses fully supervised baselines while scaling to diverse object categories for high-quality text-driven mesh animation. Further, our method supports flexible motion editing and is aligned with standard animation production pipelines.
Deploying language models often requires navigating accuracy vs. performance trade-offs to meet latency constraints while preserving utility. Traditional model distillation reduces size but incurs substantial costs through training separate models. We introduce ModularStarEncoder (MoSE), a 1-billion-parameter multi-exit encoder for code retrieval and classification that employs a novel Self-Distillation mechanism. This approach significantly enhances lower-layer representations, enabling flexible deployment of different model portions with favorable performance trade-offs. Our architecture improves text-to-code and code-to-code search by targeting specific encoder layers as exit heads, where higher layers guide earlier ones during training, thereby improving intermediate representations at minimal additional cost. We further enhance MoSE with a repository-level contextual loss that maximizes training context window utilization. Additionally, we release a new dataset created through code translation that extends text-to-code benchmarks with cross-language code-to-code pairs. Evaluations demonstrate the effectiveness of Self-Distillation as a principled approach to trading inference cost for accuracy across various code understanding tasks.
Boundary Representation (B-rep) is the most commonly used data format in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) due to its analytical precision and direct support for parametric editing. However, its heterogeneous structure–continuous parametric geometry combined with discrete topological graphs–poses fundamental challenges for deep learning. Existing methods often predict the heterogeneous B-rep graph directly, using fixed-size padding or sequential tokenization to handle varying primitive counts. These approaches struggle with the combinatorial complexity of CAD models. Furthermore, the discrete, non-differentiable nature of graph data prevents end-to-end optimization of geometry and watertightness. In this work, we introduce DualBrep, a novel continuous representation that unifies B-rep geometry and topology within a fully structured Euclidean domain. DualBrep encodes a CAD model using dual scalar fields: a Signed Distance Function (SDF) representing global shape geometry, and an Unsigned Distance Field (UDF) implicitly encoding topological structure via a Voronoi partitioning of surface elements. Rather than processing these fields independently, we compress them into a single latent space. While the dual-field formulation alone provides a flexible, primitive-free segmentation signal that adapts to arbitrary face counts and surface types, the shared latent makes generation tractable. A Flow Matching model can sample geometry and topology jointly from a single code, avoiding the error accumulation that plagues sequential B-rep predictors. Finally, a neural rebuilder extracts explicit B-rep models–comprising both prismatic and free-form primitives–directly from our continuous dual fields. We demonstrate that DualBrep is a robust backbone for CAD learning, achieving strong performance in point cloud reverse engineering and generative modeling via latent flow matching.
