1Conceptualizing Pre-Service Teachers' Readiness for AI Integration into Teaching Practices: an Intelligent-TPACK Approach.
Jose Reyes-Rojas, Brayan Diaz, Camila Ruz-Reveco,Angela Castro, David Reyes-Gonzalez

Pre-service teachers can play a crucial role in integrating AI-based tools into the new educational landscape. However, there is a need to validate specialized instruments, apply current conceptualizations such as intelligentTPACK, and address ethical issues, as pre-service teachers are often overlooked in the development of tools for AI integration. To address these gaps, we adapted a previously existing instrument designed for in-service teachers to measure pre-service teachers' integration of AI within their training context. We conducted a quantitative cross-sectional survey with a total of 366 pre-service teachers to evaluate the adapted intelligent-TPACK instrument and examine participants' demographic characteristics related to the framework dimensions. Data analysis included a Confirmatory Factor Analysis to assess the factor model of the adapted instrument, followed by correlations to compare participant variables such as gender, type of university, and stage in the training program with the Intelligent-TPACK model factors. To investigate the differences among groups, the nonparametric ANCOVA test (Quade test) was utilized, enabling the control of covariates like age and academic progress level to ensure comparability across the dimensions of the Intelligent-TPACK model. Findings reveal a high fit of the Intelligent-TPACK model for pre-service teachers (CFI=0.997; TLI=0.997). The data also shows statistically significant effects related to academic progress level and type of institution, while factors -gender, geographic location, and type of major- did not demonstrate noteworthy differences. These results highlight key areas for future curriculum development and support for pre-service teachers in integrating AI education.

2Three-dimensional Numerical Simulations of Neutron Star Cores in the Two-Fluid MHD Approximation: Simple Configurations
Andrei Igoshev, Nicolas A. Moraga,Andreas Reisenegger, Calum S. Skene,Rainer Hollerbach

Magnetic field evolution in neutron star cores is not fully understood. We describe the field evolution both for one barotropic fluid as well as two collisionally coupled barotropic fluids with different density profiles using the anelastic approximation and the Navier-Stokes equations, to simulate the evolution in three dimensions. In the one-fluid case, a single fluid describes the motion of the charged particles. In the two-fluid model, the neutral fluid is coupled to the electrically conductive fluid by collisions, the latter being dragged by the magnetic field. In this model, both fluids have distinct density profiles. This forces them to move at slightly different velocities, resulting in a relative motion between the two barotropic fluids-ambipolar diffusion. We develop a code based on Dedalus and study the evolution of simple poloidal dipolar and toroidal magnetic fields. Unlike previous 2D studies that found poloidal magnetic fields evolving towards a stable Grad-Shafranov equilibrium, in our 3D simulations, we find an instability. The fastest growing azimuthal harmonics are m = 4 and m = 6 for Re = 2, and m = 2 for Re = 0.1, which might be more relevant for neutron star core conditions. The instability grows on Alfv & eacute;n timescale. After the instability saturates, a highly nonlinear Lorentz force introduces small-scale fluid motion that leads to turbulence, development of a cascade and significant, non-axially symmetric changes in the magnetic field configuration. Fluid viscosity plays an essential role in regularizing the small-scale fluid motion, providing an energy drain.

3Current Knowledge on Insecticide Resistance in Aedes Albopictus (skuse, 1894) in Latin America and the Caribbean Nations
João Simão Silva Gonçalves, Ademir J Martins,Vincent Corbel, Laura Harburguer,Christian R Gonzalez, Cynara Melo Rodovalho,José Bento Pereira Lima

Aedes albopictus is an important vector of several arboviruses and has expanded its distribution throughout Latin America and the Caribbean in recent decades. Despite its increasing epidemiological relevance, data on insecticide resistance in this region remain limited compared to Aedes aegypti. This review compiled and analyzed the published evidence on this topic across the region. A literature search was conducted in PubMed, SciELO, Google Scholar, LILACS, and DOAJ, using combinations of the terms “insecticide resistance” or “insecticide susceptibility” plus “Aedes albopictus”, and the names of all countries recognized by the United Nations as part of the region. Studies published until May 2025 were considered, regardless of the publication year. Following the core PRISMA principles adapted for this review, 33 studies were identified, of which 17 met the inclusion criteria. Results indicate recurrent but uneven reports of resistance, with organophosphates being the most frequently evaluated insecticide (33.9%), followed by pyrethroids (27.7%) and carbamates (10.8%), and metabolic mechanisms being the most implicated. Evidence suggests that control actions focused on Ae. aegypti may also impose selective pressure over Ae. albopictus. Overall, the resistance found on Ae. albopictus emphasizes the need for expanded and standardized surveillance to support effective vector control across the Americas.

4Latent Profiles of Compassion for Self, Other Humans, and Animals: A Two Time Point Study
    Bassam Khoury, Rodrigo C. Vergara

Purpose: Compassion for self and others is consistently linked to psychological well-being, yet little is known about how compassion for self, other humans, and animals organizes into distinct profiles or relates to psychological functioning over time. This study aimed to identify latent compassion profiles across these domains and examine their associations with symptoms, affect, emotion regulation, connectedness, well-being, and temporal stability. Methods: Canadian adults completed measures of compassion for self, other humans, and animals, symptoms, affect, emotion regulation, connectedness, and well-being at baseline (T1; n = 1286). Latent profile analysis was conducted using T1 compassion measures. A subsample completed a three-month follow-up (T2; n = 213). Profiles were compared cross-sectionally and longitudinally, and within-profile correlations were examined. Results: Six compassion profiles emerged: others-oriented, animals-oriented, behaviorally-oriented, human-oriented, integral-highly, and restricted compassionate. Profiles differed significantly across outcomes. Profiles marked by high compassion across domains showed the most adaptive psychological functioning. Compassion profiles were largely stable over time, with profile-specific patterns linking emotion regulation, symptoms, and affect. Conclusions: Findings suggest that compassion for self, other humans, and animals is organized into distinct profiles with differential associations with psychological functioning. Profiles marked by imbalances across domains, particularly low self-compassion, were linked to poorer outcomes.

5Infinitely Many Periodic Solutions for Differential Equations with Piecewise Constant Arguments of Mixed Type
    M. I. Muminov, T. A. Radjabov, K. S. Chiu

This paper presents a way for locating n -periodic solutions to first-order differential equations with piecewise constant arguments of mixed type. The conditions for the existence of n -periodic solutions are thoroughly described and criteria for their existence are described in detail. Additionally, an example with simulations is provided, illustrating a case where the problem admits infinitely many solutions.
