Due to the increase in acts of terrorism and unlawful interference with civil aviation facilities, airport security is vitally important for national security and strategic interests. In addition to existing security systems, the integration of drones in this area is essential for the further enhancement of airport security. The application areas of drone models equipped with visual, infrared, and thermal cameras in airports are diverse, and it is considered advantageous to select drones with appropriate technical characteristics for each area of activity. The article analyzes the structure, technical characteristics, functional and application capabilities of drone models equipped with visual, infrared, and thermal cameras used in airport security in order to determine the appropriate technical conditions for the application of the drone model, as well as their advantages and disadvantages. In conclusion, it was considered appropriate to take into account the relevant technical conditions determined when selecting a drone model equipped with visual, infrared, and thermal cameras for airport protection. In this case, it is possible to ensure aviation security at a high level by using a drone model equipped with visual, infrared, and thermal cameras, designed taking into account the relevant technical conditions, for the protection of airports with a large area.
Currently, drone threats against civil aviation create the need to effectively ensure aviation security at airports. There is a need to improve the security system of airports to take appropriate measures against drones. Because anti-drone security measures are not properly organized at many airports around the world. One of these airports is Fuzuli International Airport, located in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The article presents the design of the Fuzuli International Airport security system, taking into account drone threats against civil aviation facilities and using the modern capabilities of drones. For this purpose, the facilities located at Fuzuli International Airport were examined, the importance of optimal placement of drones was shown, the functional and application capabilities of modern security devices were analyzed, its economic efficiency and effectiveness were assessed, and a structural scheme of the design of a security system based on the application of drone technology was prepared. The operating principle of the integrated perimeter protection system was shown in accordance with the structural scheme of the prepared security system design. As a result, it was noted that the security system designed based on the application of drone technology can detect and prevent intruders from approaching the perimeter line from the outside, an attempt to gain access to the territory by digging a tunnel beneath the system, and attacks from the air, as well as effectively control the entry of people and vehicles.
This article reviews the digital technologies currently used in sustainable tourism management and analyses the principal models and tools of digitalisation in the tourism industry. The role of information and communication technology in improving the management of tourism resources, raising service quality and supporting the environmental sustainability of destinations is examined, with particular attention to artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, digital platforms and geographic information systems in monitoring, forecasting and management decision-making. A comparative assessment of five technology groups is carried out against four criteria — purpose of use, type of information generated, influence on policy-making and relevance to sustainable development — and is complemented by a SWOT analysis. The review identifies the benefits of digital implementation, including the optimisation of tourist flows, the reduction of negative environmental impacts, improved safety and better interaction among market participants, and examines the constraints associated with cybersecurity, personal data protection, inadequate digital infrastructure and the shortage of qualified specialists. The analysis indicates that no single technology can by itself support sustainable tourism management, and that effectiveness is achieved only through the integration of these tools into a single digital ecosystem governed through public–private partnership.
