Recent advancements in oncology have markedly enhanced cancer survival rates; however, anticancer therapies, particularly anthracyclines, pose significant cardiovascular (CV) risks, collectively referred to as cancer therapy-related cardiovascular toxicity (CTR-CVT). This review consolidates evidence on strategies to mitigate CTR-CVT especially associated with anthracyclines. Neurohormonal blockers, including ACE inhibitors, ARBs, and β-blockers, constitute the foundation of prevention, although their efficacy varies: combinations such as ACEi/ARB with βB yield mixed outcomes, whereas carvedilol offers antioxidant benefits beyond β-blockade. Sacubitril/valsartan (ARNI) has demonstrated improvements in global longitudinal strain and LVEF preservation in the SARAH trial, albeit with associated hypotension risks. Aldosterone antagonists show potential, with spironolactone preserving LVEF and diastolic function, though eplerenone has not shown significant effects. Statins present conflicting data; the STOP-CA trial supports atorvastatin for LVEF preservation, while the PREVENT and SPARE-HF trials found no benefit. Emerging evidence suggests sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i), such as dapagliflozin and empagliflozin, as promising agents, with preclinical and early clinical data indicating cardioprotection through metabolic modulation, anti-inflammatory effects, and reduced oxidative stress. Gaps remain in understanding CTR-CVT pathophysiology, risk stratification, and the translation of preclinical findings. Future efforts should prioritize personalized approaches, dynamic risk assessment (e.g., HFA-ICOS tool), and a paradigm shift from oxidative stress to cardiometabolic dysfunction. Multidisciplinary collaboration is essential to optimize oncological outcomes while minimizing CV toxicity, with SGLT2i representing a key frontier for validation in ongoing trials.
This article explores trends in the visual design of intellectual journals from the late 20th to the early 21st centuries. The choice of publications of this type is driven by their role as transmitters of cultural values and a particular life style. The empirical basis for the study is Russian publications of this period: those from the 1980s and 1990s are examined using the examples of “V Mire Knigi” (In the World of Books) and “Esli” (If); those from the 2010s are “Dialogue of Arts” and “Kot Schrödinger” (Schrödinger’sCat); and the current state is represented by the journal “Pravila Zhizni” (Rules of Life). Ananalysis of works on media design and media aesthetics refines the theoretical foundations of the study. Using comprehensive and comparative analysis, synthesis, systematization, and generalization, key changes in the use of font and color palettes, composition, and illustrations are explored to attract readership and reflect the content of the publications. The authors highlight the influence of technological progress and changes in readers’ aesthetic expectations on the visual perception of intellectual journals. The article contributes to an understanding of the role of a publication’s visual style in the formation of a complex aesthetic statement, emphasizing the importance of a harmonious combination of modern visual solutions with semantic richness and recognizable cultural codes.
Introduction . The relevance of the topic is determined by the need in modern conditions for the active formation of a new world order, in order to overcome challenges and threats, to achieve high consolidation of government and society, which is most productive in the format of legal co-creation of state and public structures as the highest form of their cooperation, their constructive interaction. The aim of the work is to form conceptual ideas about the legal co-creation of government and society and to substantiate the im- portance of introducing this institution into the new Russian Constitution, the development and adoption of which is considered as a sound strategy for the development of Russian statehood. Materials and methods . A set of scientific methods is used (general logical methods, a systematic approach, historical and comparative legal methods, the method of formal legal analysis, etc.). Research results. The concept and signs of legal co-creation of government and society are presented, and a general description of this phenomenon is given. A number of measures are proposed to make such legal co-creation more effective and qualitative. The article analyzes the modern Russian constitutional and legal form in the context of the possibilities of implementing democratic mechanisms for the creative participation of civil society in state affairs. It is argued that in the new Basic Law, a special place should be given to civil society, its institutions, legal status, role and place in matters of state-legal construction, forms and means of complicity in state affairs based on cooperation with government structures. It is concluded that in order to move from a “state-centered” Basic Law to a more “equal” one in relation to all subjects of the political system, it is important to constitutionally consolidate civil society institutions (along with state bodies) as a full-fledged subject of the law-making process. The article considers the forms of legal co-creation of public authorities and civil society, which should be given direct attention in the provisions of the new Constitution: people's law-making initiative, petitions, public hearings, public discussions, crowdsourcing, scientific and expert opinions, state authorization of public decisions, law-making delegation, public control, etc. Discussion and conclusion . The constitutionalization of civil society institutions and the forms of their interaction with government agencies will contribute to their further joint development and closer cooperation, will have an impact on improving the political and legal culture of citizens, strengthening the guarantee of individual rights and duties.
Acoustic emission and high-speed video recording were used to study the kinetics of surface corrosion of a deformed aluminum-magnesium alloy in a hydrochloric acid solution. It was found that the dynamics of numerous hydrogen bubbles released during a chemical reaction was accompanied by the generation of an acoustic emission signal in the form of broadband transient noise. The evolution of the acoustic signal dispersion, which was found to correlate with the rate of the corrosion process, is a measure of this transient behavior. The mechanisms of acoustic emission and the issues of predicting the loss of mechanical stability and the initiation of the Portevin–Le Chatelier effect in an aluminum alloy deformed in a chemically aggressive environment are discussed.
Relevance. Under conditions of sanctions pressure and structural transformation of the Russian banking system, systemically important credit institutions face the need to revise their approaches to managing operational efficiency and market value. No adapted quantitative tools currently exist for assessing the impact of internal operational factors on the market capitalisation of publicly traded Russian banks subject to blocking sanctions. The purposes is to develop and validate a model for assessing the impact of operational efficiency on the market value of a commercial bank, using VTB PJSC as a case study. Objectives : to systematise theoretical approaches to the relationship between efficiency and bank value; to identify key operational efficiency indicators that significantly affect capitalisation; to construct an econometric model and verify its adequacy using VTB PJSC data for 2015–2025; to propose practical recommendations for applying the model. Methodology . The study draws on Value-Based Management theory, the Modigliani–Miller capital structure theorem, and the Ohlson model. Correlation analysis, ordinary least squares regression, and Fisher, Student, White, and Durbin–Watson tests were applied. The sample comprises 40 quarterly observations for 2015–2025. Results . A two-factor regression model was constructed. In the post-sanctions period, the Cost-to-Income Ratio (CIR) proved to be the most significant driver of market value (r = −0,82), exceeding the explanatory power of profitability indicators ROE and NIM. Conclusions . The research hypothesis is confirmed: under high uncertainty, investors shift focus from profitability metrics to cost-control indicators. The developed model constitutes a practical strategic tool for bank value management.
