In modern conditions, there is an exponential growth in the application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the field of remote sensing. Particular attention is paid to their use in the agro-industrial complex, search and rescue operations, and military operations. A key direction in the development of this technology is the introduction of autonomous navigation capabilities and decision-making directly on board the vehicle. The paper proposes an architectural description of an open-source system that will allow assembling a ready-made product from available components to cover the tasks described above.
This article examines the impact of image preprocessing on the performance of face detection using the Viola-Jones method. Experiments are presented on the WIDER FACE dataset using three Haar classifiers. The results demonstrate that preprocessing methods such as grayscale, noise reduction, sharpening, histogram equalization, gamma correction, and morphological closing improve key detection performance indicators. Quantitative evaluations of the improvements and an analysis of the effectiveness of the proposed methods are presented.
The relevance of insider threat detection stems from the growing number of attacks by authorized users, which are difficult to identify using traditional security measures. User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) systems offer a solution based on analyzing employees' digital footprints; however, there is no methodology for selecting data sources that balances detection completeness and computational costs. The article presents a classification of digital footprint sources into five groups: access metadata, action metadata, network flows, content, and behavioral biometrics. A proposed metric–the informativeness-to-extraction-complexity index–enables quantitative evaluation of the feasibility of using each data type. Experiments on the CMU-CERT r4.2 dataset showed that the maximum index (3.56) is achieved with network flows, while email content analysis provides an 8.3% improvement in detection quality but has a low index (0.41) due to high computational cost.
This article compares the MAX31865ATP and MAX31855 integrated circuits used for temperature measurement with RTDs and K-type thermocouples. The operating principles, functional features, and SPI interface specifics are discussed. RTD sensors and thermocouples are compared in terms of accuracy, temperature range, and circuit complexity. Minimal STM32 HAL-based code examples and practical usage considerations are also presented.
The article provides a comparative analysis of information system modeling methods – structural (DFD, IDEF0), object-oriented (UML) and process–based (BPMN) - in the context of their lifecycle stages. The strengths and limitations of each approach are considered, as well as their applicability in requirements collection, architecture design, development, testing, and operation of IP. The results are summarized in a comparative table. It is concluded that effective design requires not the choice of a single method, but their combined application, depending on the tasks to be solved at each stage.
