This research aimed to investigate the prevalence and diversity of Bartonella in small mammals and their ectoparasites from the Central Highlands of Madagascar and to refine existing information on potential associated zoonotic diseases. A retrospective analysis was performed on mammals and their ectoparasites collected in the Fandriana and Ankazobe districts, including 253 spleen samples from seven small mammal species and 183 individual ectoparasites (132 fleas and 51 ticks). Genomic DNA was extracted and amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) targeting the nuoG gene (346 bp). Sanger sequencing of the PCR products was performed to assess Bartonella diversity using phylogenetic analysis. In total, 60.1
This paper introduces a novel and more efficient method for constructing oriented hierarchies within the framework of Statistical Implicative Analysis. The primary focus of this study is the computational complexity of the original algorithm proposed by Gras, whose cubic time complexity is established in this work. To address this limitation, a detailed combinatorial analysis of hierarchical structures is performed, leveraging tools from analytic combinatorics. This methodology facilitates the enumeration of the number of possible configurations as a function of input size and enables the investigation of both the depth and width characteristics of the hierarchy’s block structure. This study then proposes a reconstruction algorithm based on a formal correspondence between the statistical implication graph and the oriented hierarchy. The proposed method achieves quadratic worst-case complexity, thereby resulting in a substantial improvement in computational performance. Moreover, the analytic framework also makes it possible to characterise the average-case behaviour of the algorithm. The findings of the comparative computational experiments demonstrate the clear advantage of the proposed method over Gras’s algorithm, both in terms of execution time and overall algorithmic efficiency.
Communication, defined as an interaction between two interlocutors, is an indispensable tool that human beings can not do without. Whether traditional or digital, it is necessary in education and in entrepreneurship. The obstacles relate to the communication systems of entrepreneurial support structures in the city of Fianarantsoa, Madagascar, particularly at the level of the models they have adopted. The objective of this research is therefore to study the communication systems of these structures. Different methods were adopted for data acquisition, such as analysis of the situation of existing structures by conducting an observation, an online opinion poll, a focus group, a survey and interviews within the various entrepreneurial support structures in the city and at the University of Fianarantsoa, Madagascar. This study is based on a sample of 302 individuals (mentors, startup owners, fokontany leaders, managers in the structures). After statistical analysis of the results, a hybrid communication model adapted to the contexts of these structures was proposed. As a perspective, this research can be extended to digital mapping of entrepreneurs in the use of digital technology and tools.
