Entropic uncertainty relations are universal quantifiers of fundamental uncertainties of quantum measurements and are widely discussed in the quantum metrology literature. Quantum memory is a phenomenon related to the specific type of quantum correlations that allows for reducing fundamental uncertainties of quantum measurements. In the present work, the modified concept of quantum memory for time-dependent problems is proposed. We compare the time-dependent formulation of quantum memory with the out-of-time-ordered correlator (OTOC). Quantum memory is a rigorous mathematical concept that requires demanding calculations. Thus, until now, quantum memory has been discussed mainly for simple model systems and stationary problems. In the present work, we demonstrate that quantum memory can also be studied for realistic and physically relevant systems, e.g., the atomic helical spin chain, as well as the emergence and propagation of quantum correlations in time. We found that quantum memory manifests faster oscillations in time than OTOC and does not equilibrate. Furthermore, an artificial neural network is trained and asked to predict results for OTOC and quantum memory. These results show that quantum memory is more sensitive than OTOC in terms of broken inversion symmetry and the nonreciprocal effect.
To test whether a pneumatic cold-compression system (CC) improves recovery of maximal voluntary contraction (MVC) at 48 h (T4) versus Sham after a standardized hamstring fatigue protocol. Secondary aims were to compare muscle stiffness, microvascular perfusion, pressure pain threshold (PPT), blood lactate, perceived recovery (TQR), and harms across subgroups. This multicenter, randomized, participant- and assessor-blinded, sham-controlled, two-period crossover trial enrolled 80 participants. After fatigue testing, participants received CC (3 °C, 75 mmHg, 10 min twice daily for 3 days) or Sham (15 °C, 15 mmHg). Outcomes were assessed at baseline (T0), post-fatigue (T1), immediately post-first intervention (T2), 24 h (T3), and 48 h (T4). Continuous outcomes were analyzed using mixed-way ANOVA with Population as the between-subject factor and Condition and Time as within-subject factors, followed by Bonferroni-adjusted pairwise comparisons. Paired Cohen’s dz was reported for key within-participant contrasts. TQR was analyzed using rank-based factorial ANOVA, and Borg CR10 scores using ordinal logistic regression. Across populations, MVC was higher under CC than Sham from T2 to T4, with the largest between-condition difference at T4 (all p < .001). Muscle stiffness was lower under CC from T2 to T4 (all p < .001). Microvascular perfusion and pressure pain threshold were higher under CC at T2 - T4 overall (all p < .001), with earlier between-condition differences in MMA athletes and young adults and delayed differences in older adults. Blood lactate was lower under CC only immediately after the first intervention session (T2; p < .001). TQR was higher under CC at T2 - T4 in MMA athletes, at T2 - T3 in older adults, and at T3 only in young adults. No adverse events were reported. CC accelerated recovery after hamstring fatigue, improving strength, stiffness, perfusion, pain thresholds, lactate, and perceived recovery across populations, with earlier benefits in athletes and young adults and delayed but comparable improvements in older adults. Synthesis of aryl derivatives of 5-azaindole linked 1,2,3-triazoles were achieved by the reaction between aryl azide and aryl alkynes in the presence of CuSO4.5H2O and Na-ascorbate in t-BuOH/H2O at room temperature over 12 h time period. These synthesized derivatives were evaluated for their anticancer activity against MCF-7 (breast cancer), A549 (lung cancer), Colo-205 (colon cancer) A2780 (ovarian cancer) cell lines by using MTT assay reduction method with Etoposide as standard drug. Among them, compound 17i with 3,5-dinitro substituent on the aryl moiety showed most promising activity against four cell lines like MCF-7, A549, Colo-205 and A2780 with IC50 values of 0.01 ± 0.0071 µM; 0.06 ± 0.0083 µM; 1.19 ± 0.6700 µM, 1.71 ± 0.7400 µM respectively. The molecular docking studies revealed that 17i and 17d are identified to be the better compounds with the evaluated targets TopoII, EGFR and VEGFR2 based on their binding affinities and molecular recognition patterns with reference inhibitors.
This article presents the results of integrating three methods to assess the age of the Upper Palaeolithic site of Pietraszyn 11 (SW Poland), close to the Moravian Gate. Sediment chronology determined using optically stimulated luminescence produced promising, yet ambiguous results (51.0 +/- 3.7 to 20.3 +/- 0.7 ka). Molecular dating of rodent remains provided a more exact date (32-22.5 ka cal bp). Radiocarbon dating, however, allowed us to narrow the range of cultural deposits further to two occupation periods around 31 and 27 ka cal bp. These data confirm that, on the eve of rapid cooling (LGM), the northern areas were seasonally exploited by groups of Gravettian hunters.
Maize (Zea mays L.) is a crop of global importance as food and feed. Among the most hazardous contaminants responsible for its quality degradation are species of the fungi genera Fusarium, Aspergillus, and Penicillium, which synthesize toxic secondary metabolites such as deoxynivalenol, fumonisins, HT2/T2 toxins and zearalenone. In this study, we investigate the efficiency of the detoxification of mycotoxin-contaminated maize grains by ozonation and its impact on the quality parameters of the maize in short and long storage, depending on the concentration of ozone and the exposition time. Maize grains were artificially inoculated with three species of Fusarium (F. avenaceum, F. graminearum, and F. proliferatum) to generate a spectrum of mycotoxins. In particular, F. proliferatum exhibited the highest mycotoxin production capacity, while F. avenaceum and F. graminearum produced fewer metabolites. Subsequent exposure to ozone at concentrations of 150-300 ppm for 15-30 min resulted in complete degradation of all detected mycotoxins and no intermediate degradation products were observed. Although ozonation was effective in removing toxins, its effect on maize quality parameters was evident. The level of fatty acid oxidation marker (MDA) increased with increasing ozone doze, and the effect intensified with storage duration. This indicated a reduction in lipids as a result of exposure to ozone. The profile of fatty acids was also found to be affected by ozone; the content of 9-Octadecaenoic acid showed a negative correlation with storage time, while 9,12-Octadecadienoic acid exhibited a positive correlation with storage time. Furthermore, exposure to ozone caused the Lipoxygenase and Proteolytic activity to decrease. This effect, however, was found to be reversible; after long storage duration, both parameters regained their initial values. The results obtained underscored the need for careful optimization of treatment conditions.
