The topic of this research is “A Stylistic analysis of the Three Dreams in Earnest Hemingway’s "The Old Man and The Sea." This research describes the stylistic analysis of the imageries and expressive means used in this novel to reveal the insides and the role of the hero through his dreams. These dreams represent the adjustments in the mind that are linked to sleep. The devices used along with the images and expressive means play a philosophical, sociological and psychological mirror of what is hidden inside the hero’s mind and psyche and what is beyond the power of dreams in fiction. In this research, we introduce all the images, which demonstrate various symbols in the hero’s life and in his hard society, which in turn characterize the individual style of the author. Dreams function effectively in simulating threats, handling both of the emotional and intellectual problems, and reinforcing memories for the author.
Background: This study examined whether money or social connections better predict life satisfaction. Specifically, it compared well-being among low-in come rural residents and middle-class urban dwellers. Methods: We conducted a meta-analysis of 42 published studies (30 independent effect sizes) from 2000–2024. Effect sizes (Cohen’s d) were calculated to assess the relationship between income, well-being, work hours, and community engagement. A random-effects model and meta-regression (moderators: community engagement, work hours, education) were performed in R (meta for package). Using parameters derived from the meta-analysis, an agent-based simulation (Mesa/Python) modeled virtual rural and urban communities. Three experiments tested the impact of raising income, increasing social engagement, or both over 52 weeks across 100 simulated communities each. Results: Overall, higher income had a small positive effect on well-being (d = 0.08, 95% CI [0.02, 0.14], p = 0.01). In rural settings, income did not significantly improve happiness (d = –0.05, p = 0.15), whereas in urban areas it did (d = 0.12, p = 0.002). Community engagement strongly enhanced well-being (β = 0.10, p < 0.001), while longer work hours reduced it (β = –0.06, p = 0.01). Simulations showed social engagement increases yielded larger well-being gains (rural ΔW = 0.50; urban ΔW = 0.40) than income boosts (rural ΔW = 0.20; urban ΔW = 0.15).Conclusions: Social bonds and balanced work hours are more influential than income alone in promoting lasting happiness. Policies should focus on community building and work-life balance rather than income growth alone.
The importance of the research came through emphasizing an important variable, which is the speed the shooter acquires for his body parts during approaching and speed in the final stage of throwing. In it, to identify the influencing relationship between the values of the achieved velocity of the body parts (linear and angular) to place the throwing effectiveness of the javelin and the completion of the research sample, the researchers used the descriptive approach by the method of the relational and surveying relationship to suit the nature of the research. The research was carried out in an intentional way, and the number was six ) players from the Diyala Club for the sports season (2018-2019), and they were under 18 years old. The research procedures included conducting imaging and extracting the variables that included the linear velocity of the body parts of the hip, shoulder, elbow, and spear and the angular velocity of each (the stem and the aiming arm). The field application was conducted to conduct the main experiment on the research sample on Tuesday, 10/12/2019. In light of the achieved results, the results showed a high correlation and impact force between the achieved speed of body parts (linear and angular) for the throwing phase and the javelin throw for the youth.
Sleep is a basic human need. Abraham Maslow showed that sleep as part of your physiological needs in the hierarchy of five basic human needs. According to Stores, sleep categorized into: satisfactory and unsatisfactory. Good sleep is sleep that has satisfactory (sufficient in duration and good quality), while bad sleep is sleep that makes individuals feel unsatisfactory. Unsatisfactory sleep that occurs on a continued that cause × more serious effects like; often feel very tired, uncontrolled emotion, difficult to concentrate, difficult to remembering or thinking clearly, unsatisfactory work, depression, and difficult to solve problems. The long-term effects such as cardiovascular disease, obesity, and cancer.
This study investigates the crosscutting relationship between technological innovation, regulations and impact on the proficiency of engineering, space and AI studies. And as technologies such as autonomous drones, satellite infrastructure, and AI-powered systems develop at breakneck speed, old-fashioned regulatory structures have a hard time keeping up, causing inefficiencies, delays, and stagnation. It is the contention of this paper that well-crafted and forward-looking regulatory environments are accelerants of technological development and not barriers to innovation. By closely examining historical and current regulatory deficiencies, the paper emphasizes the need for regulatory foresight to be built-in to technological development, as revealed in the case of the drone delivery systems and satellite logistics. Proactive regulation that anticipates trends and challenges resulting from technological progress can lead to regulation that adapts to innovation and helps achieve responsible and sustainable growth. The study concludes with recommendations for policy such as the formation of cross-disciplinary regulation bodies, real time adaptable law platforms, and universal space explorations treaties. Such proposals are intended to offer a legal foundation in which innovation is promoted and, but safety, data protection, ethical considerations, and international cooperation, are taken into account. The study highlights that properly designed regulation can provide the environment for safe, efficient and ethical innovation, in turn benefitting business, government and broader society. Ultimately, we posit that regulatory novelty is an empirical necessity for realizing the potential of new technology, as exemplified in the space domain and the case of AI, and for ensuring that technological advances serve humanity’s future.
Muscular dystrophy is a group of diseases that cause progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass. In muscular dystrophy, abnormal genes (mutations) interfere with the production of proteins needed to form healthy muscle. Consequently, with time, the afflicted lose the ability to even carry out an elemental function like body movements. It is an agonizingly painful phase in the patients’ lives as they battle with the disease that threatens to choke their chances of sustenance with each passing day. Even more dismal is the lack of awareness regarding the disease; hence, the possibilities of creating appropriate scaffolds to facilitate the well-being of people afflicted with muscular dystrophy are minimal at present. This lacuna is more entrenched in education. It is pertinent to refer to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill—2016 in this context. With the amendment now, the Government of India has extended the ambit of disabilities from 7 to 21, with muscular dystrophy indicated as a separate class of specified disability. Given this premise, it is imperative to note that it is now a mandatory clause for all the government-funded educational institutions as well as those recognized by the government to proffer inclusive education to such learners. In this contextual frame, this study attempts to present 5 case studies pertaining to learners with muscular dystrophy. The author has personally witnessed a lack of information among the parents and, therefore, their inability to help their children affected with muscular dystrophy, especially in the case of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Hence, as a long-time personal goal, she developed this study to address this lacuna. Case studies are based on semi‐structured interviews that were conducted with five parents. Analysis of the interview data indicated the willingness of these parents to share information to empower others like themselves. The study reaches conclusions that recommend a host of solutions aimed at redefining pedagogies to empower the learning abilities of students with muscular dystrophy.
This study investigates the relationship between early leadership experiences and innovation performance in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in China. Using Enterprise Survey for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in China (ESIEC) cross-sectional datasets, it examines the mediating role of psychological traits and how age moderates this relationship. The analysis employs fixed effects models to control for regional and industry-specific unobserved characteristics. Results indicate a significant positive relationship between early leadership experiences and innovation, with psychological traits mediating this relationship strongly in younger entrepreneurs. For older entrepreneurs, early leadership has a more direct and stronger shape on innovation. These findings underscore the importance of early leadership development in the education phase and suggest that the relationship and pathways evolve with age, offering novel insights into the formation and application of social and human capital in the entrepreneurial journey.
Potentiometry based on ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) has undergone a renaissance with improvements in the detection limits and selectivities of ISEs, the introduction of new materials, new sensing concepts (from conventional potentiometry to dynamic electrochemistry approaches), and deeper theoretical understanding and modelling of the potentiometric responses of ISEs. The most recent innovations support improvements in software for ion sensing and biosensing. Additionally, adaptable sensing techniques have been created for a wide range of various target molecules, including enzymes, antibodies, aptamers, and peptides, in response to the introduction of new receptors by using ISEs as powerful transducers. Current potentiometric biosensor trends are examined in this paper. Their applications in the biosensing of metal ions, small molecules, DNA, proteins, microorganisms, and poisons have been discussed. This review provides a forecast for potentiometric biosensing based on the integration of potentiometric ISEs with innovative materials and cutting-edge techniques.
The purpose of this research is to investigate how statistics and mathematics are used in economics. It will look at how these quantitative techniques are used to evaluate economic information and come to wise conclusions. The advantages and restrictions of using statistics and mathematics in economics will also be examined in this study. According to Weintraub's research, economics does not have a fixed point of reference in mathematics. He describes how the ideas of consistency and rigor in mathematics have evolved and how it has shown to be impossible to represent mathematics as a fully formed formal system. This makes it easier to recognize how applied economics, which prioritizes quantitative language, has methodological ambiguities. This paper's goal is to examine fundamental mathematical tools that are frequently employed in the study of economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. Without the application of mathematics, economic ideas are insufficient. Each topic in economics requires the application of mathematics for a correct understanding. Economic topics are made understandable by the application of mathematical tools, which might pique one's interest in the subject.

In principle, a certificate of land rights is a proof of title issued by the Land Office, which serves as a strong means of proof regarding physical data and juridical data on a plot of land. The purpose of this study is to analyze (1) the strength of certificates as a basis for ownership of land rights; and (2) Reconstruction of legal certainty from land ownership certificates through a legal positivism approach in Indonesia. This research is normative legal research with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. The data analysis technique used is juridical analysis, namely analysis based on theories, concepts, and laws and regulations. The results of the study show that (1) The strength of the certificate as the basis for ownership of land rights before 5 (five) years of issuance of the certificate does not have strong legal force because it can still be sued by other parties who also have proof of ownership; and (2) The reconstruction of legal certainty from land ownership certificates through a legal positivism approach in Indonesia is formulated by closing the weaknesses of the negative land registration system and in the future land registration in Indonesia must choose a positive land registration system, in order to create legal certainty that can protect the interests of holders of rights certificates above ground.
Tax justice is very important to the legitimacy of the tax system in Afghanistan. On the one hand, any taxes cannot be derived from the people without a legal basis, and on the other hand, the taxes should be fair and reasonable. Regarding taxes in Afghanistan, it seems that in some cases, the taxes consisting of direct and indirect taxes are not justifiable. The very major examples are the VAT (Value Added Tax), the tax on credit cards, and some tax on income in the legal system of Afghanistan. During determining tax, the tax authorities should evaluate the life and characteristics of taxpayers to determine whether they have the ability to pay tax or not. These are the concerns regarding the social justice of taxes. So, we are trying to find the response to this question: Is social justice respected and observed in the tax legal system of Afghanistan? No doubt, in some cases, the taxes in Afghanistan are not rightful. The economic conditions of people are not equal. Most people in Afghanistan are very poor. As a result, tax authorities should assess people's living conditions. In addition, the government should codify fair taxes for the people. The method of the research will be descriptive and analytical. The method of collecting data is librarianship. We reviewed books, articles, magazines, and the national laws of Afghanistan
Introduction: Addiction is often viewed as a brain disease, focusing on the individual's body or brain and describing it as a disordered state. However, this perspective overlooks the significant role of social contexts and how consumption patterns evolve. Substance use disorders should be addressed with a biopsychosocial model, considering environmental impacts on addiction development and treatment. Research shows that changes in the environment can alter substance use behaviors. Additionally, substance use is linked to criminal activities, as drugs can influence thoughts and behaviors leading to crime. Case Presentation: This report details a patient with methamphetamine use disorder who was on probation for theft during his substance use p eriod. Despite multiple hospitalizations and treatments, he relapsed each time he returned to his previous environment. However, he achieved remission after moving to a stable, developed area with family support. Unfortunately, he was later imprisoned for his p rior offense during this remission period. Conclusions This case underscores the critical impact of the living environment on substance use behaviors. The patient's remission after relocating from a socially disadvantaged area highlights the importance of environmental factors in addiction treatment. While his imprisonment is unfortunate, the positive changes during his stay with his sister and his abstinence from substance use are promising for his future recovery. Effective treatment for methamphetamine addiction must consider and integrate environmental factors into treatment strategies.
This study aimed to examine the effects of intervention through a cognitive educational program based on previous research and conducted it on a class of nursery preschoolers. To examine the effects of the intervention, two measures of cognitive abilities (Flanker task / PASS Rating Scale) were administered pre- and post-intervention. We analyzed the activity review sheets filled by children after each session. As a result, the size of interference effects on the response time of the Flanker task in post-intervention decreased compared with that in pre-intervention and the scores of the PASS Rating Scale in post-intervention were higher than that in pre-intervention. Additionally, analyses of the activity review sheets indicated that the descriptions of “content of activity” and “strategy” tended to increase as the sessions progressed. Changes in measures of cognitive abilities suggest that the intervention played an important part in enhancing preschoolers’ cognitive abilities. The result of reflection suggests the fact that we actively provided opportunities to interact with instructors and classmates while verbalizing the contents and strategies of activities during sessions. These results suggest the positive impact of class-wide intervention of cognitive enhancement programs among preschoolers.
Remdesivir (RMDSVR) is a pro-drug of an ATP analog, with antiviral activity against RNA viruses. In 2016 RMDSVR is used in the treatment of Ebola and 2017 RMDSVR was tested against SARS-CoV-2. In order to accomplish the objective of the current study household data was collected from one district of Sindh province. Main aim of this study is to find out that which modern technologies are being used at various form level and suggest police measure for technical advancement. For this study a purposive sample selection method was adopted to select Hyderabad, because it was considered that farmers of this location might be more aware about modern technologies due to Sindh Agriculture University and Directorate General of Agriculture extension are situated in this district. Those institutes are organizing awareness seminars/training for farmers of the province. Diversified stakeholders are presenting this region, that is why, we selected the respondents from there. At the second stage, through stratified random sampling method 80 households were selected 50 small, 20 medium and 10 large based on proportion of population size in each category of small medium and large farmers. Stratification was made on the bases of small (farmers own land from 1 to 12 acres), medium (farmers own land from 13 to 25 acres) and large (farmers own land from 26 to 46 acres) farmers. Results revealed that the small farmers predominantly rely on farming for their livelihood. They have limited educational attainment, with the majority completing only primary education. While they exhibit a strong commitment to farming, their relatively small landholding of 3.9 acres and the prevalence of financial challenges, as indicated by total household expenditure exceeding income, suggest potential vulnerabilities. Medium farmers, strikes a balance between farming and education, with a more diverse educational background. With a larger landholding of 16 acres and stable income and expenditure patterns, this household appears to be in a relatively secure financial position. Large farmers exhibit the most favorable economic profile. With a more educated and experienced demographic, extensive land ownership, and strong financial stability, they are positioned for prosperity
