This study aims to find out mathematics learning with a scientific approach to student outcomes on pythagorean theorem material, and the subject of this study is students of class VIII-A at MTs Muhammadiyah Al-fatah Nangahale, school year 2020/2021. This research is a qualitative descriptive, research with data collection techniques using tests and questionnaires. The results of this study show that learning mathematics with scientific shortness can improve student outcomes, it can be seen from the percentage of pre-test results before using a scientific approach, namely students who understand as many concepts as possible 5 % and learners who don't understand as many concepts as 70 % and learners who experience as many misconceptions as possible 25 %. After using a scientific approach, the results of the percentage of students who understand the concept as much as 70 %, learners do not understand concepts as much as 15 % and learners who experience as many misconceptions as 15 %. So, the design of mathematics learning with a scientific approach, especially the material of the pythagorean theorem, can reduce the misconceptions of learners

The school community's efforts to deal with deviant behavior are carried out by school members by holding spiritual activities, such as congregational prayers and reciting the Koran at mosques for the Muslim religion, while Catholic students pray together in class with Catholic Religious Education teachers before going home from school.
An efficient micropropagation protocol using nodal segments of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni, a zero calorie natural sweetener, was established. The nodal segments were inoculated on Murashige and Skoog's (MS) medium containing varying concentrations of different cytokinins viz. BA (benzyl adenine), KN (kinetin) and 2-iP (N6-(2-isopentyladenosine). Maximum shoot induction (79.16%) was achieved on MS medium supplemented with KN (6.0 mg/l) where 2.33±0.21 shoots were generated per explant with an average height of 4.33±0.93 cm after 30 days of culture. For faster multiplication, the shoots were transferred to fresh MS medium containing KN (6mg/l) + BA (4mg/l). Full strength MS medium fortified with indole butyric acid (IBA) and naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) in the range 0.1–1.0 mg/l was employed for rooting. Rooting frequency was maximum (75.42%) with MS + IBA (0.1 mg/l). The micropropagated plantlets were successfully acclimatized with a survival rate of 68%.
Antimutagenic and antioxidative potential of Chlorophytum borivilianum was investigated by taking methanol extract of the peels of its tubers. While antimutagenic property of the extract was evaluated using Ames assay, its antioxidant activity was determined through 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl free radical scavenging, deoxyribose degradation, reducing power, chelating power and lipid peroxidation assays. The methanol extract showed significant antimutagenic effect in both the co-incubation and pre-incubation modes. The extract also showed strong inhibitory activity in DPPH free radical scavenging, site and non-site specific deoxyribose degradation, as well as in lipid peroxidation assays. The reducing power and chelating power assays were non-significant. The study established the antimutagenic and antioxidative potential of tuber peels of C. borivilianum.
Three samples of ginger (Zingiber officinale Roseo) were pretreated individually with hot water blanching, citric acid (0.5%) and KMS (0.5%).These were air-dried at 50, 60 and 70°C in an electrical drier. The time required to reduce the moisture from 719.67 to 13.11% (wb) at 50°C, 714.33 to 11.41% (wb) at 60°C and 706.45 to 9.94% (wb) at 70°C was 42, 56, 54 hrs, 42, 46, 44 hrs and 30, 34, 32 hrs for hot water, citric acid and KMS treated samples, respectively. Drying curves were fitted to Page model, Modified Page model and Newton model and were analyzed. Samples treated with citric acid and dried at 50°C reported maximum volatile oil (2.2%), minimum Δ E (5.93), rehydration ratio (1.68), and maximum sensory score (8.0 on 9.0 basis). Modified Page model recorded highest value of correlation coefficient (R2 =0.9978), minimum value of chi square (0.00024) and root mean square value (RMSE = 0.149).
The present study was undertaken to examine safety measures taken by residents for avoiding home accidents. A sample of 140 households was randomly selected from two areas of Ludhiana district in Punjab. Interview schedule was used to gather data. Modified safety assessment scale was used to judge home safety. Results revealed that safety assessment scoring revealed minimum safety regarding fire and burns (Rural 8.34; Urban 8.15). Safety features like smoke bell, fire extinguisher and sand buckets were not seen in any of the sampled houses. The most lacking safety features were stairs without rail, dark areas, narrow passages, gas cylinder near burner, greasy floors, low parapet, split levels and no safety caps on sockets. Sharp objects and cooking activity were perceived to be the most hazardous. Kitchen, washroom and stairs were identified as accident prone areas by all respondents. It was evident from the results that most of the rural respondents neglected home safety and needed guidelines to avoid home accidents.
