Abstract Agregatorium may be an important factor for culture-forming and expert meetings. The underlying assumption of the Symposium is to search for a new spiritus movens, criteria and reasons to plan, design and create artefacts, spaces and places by analysing phenomena that have already been extensively studied and evaluated. The overriding criterion may be the role of space generated by the local code, enabling the process of humanisation as visualised in art, spontaneous action and openness to the potential recipient as well as interaction. The Agregatorium exhibition programme covers the presentation of artistic attitudes in the field of architecture, design, visual arts and urban planning as well as interdisciplinary activities in the field of landscaping and broader education. The programme priority of the symposium and exhibition is to bond, in the course of shared exhibitions of works and achievements, the personalities of famous architects, artists and designers, as well as the attitudes of young artists. Visual and ideological confrontation can be attractive for the recipient, and become a contribution to discussions and meetings among theorists, artists, architects, urban planners, as well as the audience involved. At the European Agregatorium, we deal with cognitive processes resulting from the principle of synergy and value.
Abstract Virtual reality and the digital architectural representations of buildings that exist in the cyber realm are gathering more and more users as their platforms develop spaces better suited for the virtual human. Design of sites and interiors is being carried out by both experienced creators and those completely lacking skill in spatial creativity. Research was conducted during the course of two record gathering sessions lasting two weeks each, one at the beginning of February in the year 2020, the other at the end of the year in the last two weeks of the month of November 2020. Information was gathered about the population status of the most visited worlds at those times, as well as their specificity in architectural design traits. Comparison of the data showed that humans who attend online social gatherings and interactions in virtual reality worlds shifted their favor from median traits to those representing more high-end quality at the end of the year. Demographics show a rise in the amount of users aged between 6-10, and 21-35, in comparison to that of the beginning of 2020 where the dominant age group was between 16 and 21 years old. The global lockdown due to the pandemic attracted people from the home office generation who preferred architectural spaces of higher quality, larger and more complex floor plans, and spatial representations of high-rise residential, nightlife and fictional spaces for virtual human to human socializing and interaction.
Abstract In urban design, greenery is associated with ecological, health, recreational and leisure functions. The author would like to draw attention to the different roles of greenery forms in the process of space perception. The study analyzed greenery as an important element of the spatial environment, influencing the multisensory human experience and perception of the environment, including architectural objects. The considerations were based mainly on the theory of perception according to J. Gibson. The aim of the analysis is to draw attention to the forms of greenery, which, by their diversity and changeability in time, provide an enormous amount of stimuli that act on all the senses and make the process of perception more complete. The role of greenery in the process of perception is very large and multifaceted, so according to the author, greenery forms should be more appreciated by urban planners as a tool for designing space and human experience.
Abstract The article identifies the main characteristics and features of the artistic arrangement of representative public buildings in Vienna that influenced analogical objects of Lviv in the second half of the 19th century. The issue of Vienna’s historicism and its peculiarities in interior decoration are also considered. The research involved selecting and analyzing key public buildings that are present in both cities, such as theaters, universities, the Diet (in case of Vienna – the Parliament), museums, courts and other sites with a broad representative group of rooms. These revealed common trends, direct and indirect quotations, both in artistic elements and in the overall order composition. The article also explores major public buildings in Vienna along with architects who have become role models and set some standards for the artistic design of the representative group of rooms. As a result, the influencing factors were identified, among which administrative, educational, cultural and economic issues are highlighted and reviewed.
Abstract The city is a place of community. Both in form and content, it is the most public display of aspects of culture, including art. It embodies our cultural memory, which is also a place of constant renewal of culture and art. Most of the phenomena that we associate with the idea of culture stem from the elements of the city that become synonymous with “Polis” - the City. They offered agora, temples, stadiums, theatres... - facilities for art. That culture takes place in theatres, concert halls... or museums. Contemporary buildings for culture, theatres, music, etc. should be user-friendly and easily accessible, with a cordial atmosphere, functional. They should speak of what is alive and everyday in them. They are not meant to be monuments. The aim of the work is to explore and evaluate the issues of internal public spaces of cultural buildings as a development of the city’s public space and their significance in this context.
