Titled Empowering MSMEs in Indonesia: A Mobile Application for Digital Transformation and Sustainable Economic Growth Post-COVID-19 this study highlights the challenges faced by MSMEs in Indonesia due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs, the number of MSMEs in Indonesia in 2022 will reach more than 64 million, but the majority have experienced a drastic decline in revenue. With only around 19 million MSMEs doing business online, there is an urgent need to improve digital literacy and access to business resources. We propose the development of a mobile application that not only provides digital marketing training, but also facilitates MSMEs in accessing a network of influencers and content creators. The app is designed to accelerate the digital transformation of MSMEs, expand market reach, and support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 8, namely decent work and economic growth. Through this solution, we hope to encourage inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.
Changes in consumer behavior from offline to online shopping have forced business owners to develop their product marketing through e-commerce. One of the technologies used to support this marketing process is AR (Augmented Reality). AR technology provides an interesting shopping experience for its users. However, the inconsistency of AR results and the unfamiliarity of AR among consumers have made this feature not widely used. Therefore, to find out what improvements can be made, it is necessary to evaluate the user experience. This research focuses on analyzing user experience on AR in e-commerce (Shopee) using two methods, System Usability Scale and Usability Testing. The number of respondents for the analysis with the SUS method was 100 respondents and for the Usability Testing method was 10 respondents. The final score obtained from the SUS calculation was 64.45, while the Usability Testing method obtained: learnability of 100%, efficiency of 71%, memorability 4, and error of 0.13. The results of this study can provide improvements to the AR feature UI for the company that provide AR for new feature and provide additional knowledge for academics which is by combining 2 methodologies can provide a better analysis of the use of AR in product marketing.
Automated vehicles (AVs) are being deployed in public traffic, which brings not only potential improvements in safety and efficiency but also new challenges for human drivers. This study investigates the effect of trait driving anger and varying time gaps between AVs and human-driven vehicles (HVs) in terms of drivers’ driving performance and level of arousal. Thirty-four participants engaged in a simulated driving experiment, which involved following AVs with different time gaps: free drive (infinite gap), medium time gap (5 seconds), and small time gap (1 second). Driving performance was measured using a combination of longitudinal and lateral control metrics, while physiological arousal was assessed using heart rate variability (HRV) and skin conductance level (SCL). The results indicated that small time gaps impair driving performance and increase arousal levels when compared with the free drive condition. The interaction of medium time gaps and high trait driving anger was negatively associated with the human driver’s level of arousal, which suggested a potential to mitigate the driving anger with an appropriate time gap. These findings highlight the need to consider the impact of trait driving anger and time gap settings in mixed traffic environments involving AVs.
Struvite fertilizer, characterized by its slow-release qualities, is comprised of magnesium, ammonium, and phosphate and is vital for plant growth. The Integrated Laboratory Unit of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) has developed a prototype for struvite fertilizer production equipment, but the production process requires manual monitoring. This project seeks to create an MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport)-based mobile application for the real-time monitoring and control of struvite fertilizer production equipment. The application employs the MQTT communication protocol, known for its quick data transmission and minimal bandwidth requirements. This application incorporates sensors on the production machine, which includes a reactor, filter, and dryer, and employs an Amazon Web Service’s (AWS) IoT Core as the MQTT broker. Findings from the application’s evaluation indicate that the mobile application can efficiently monitor and control several machine components. Data transmission to MQTT topics was successful, facilitating seamless communication. Functional and integration testing demonstrated that the system operates effectively. Usability testing outcomes yielded an average score of 77.75 with a system usability scale (SUS) approach, signifying that the application possesses a satisfactory degree of usability classified within the “Grade B” category.
The International Office plays a critical role in higher education by managing international programs such as student recruitment, exchanges, and research collaborations, which are essential for enhancing a university’s global presence and reputation. Recognizing this, Primakara University sought to design a dedicated International Office website to improve its competitiveness and educational quality on an international level. This website serves as a vital tool for communicating with international audiences and promoting inclusive educational opportunities. The user interface design process employed the Design Thinking method, which facilitates a deep understanding of user needs through iterative stages of problem definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing. The final testing phase, conducted using the User Experience Questionnaire Plus (UEQ+), indicated a generally positive user experience, with an overall average score of 2.09 across 15 scales. While Dependability, Efficiency, Stimulation, and Trust scored slightly lower, the quality of content achieved the highest rating, demonstrating the website’s effectiveness in making a favorable impression on users.
