The plethora of injustices occurring worldwide within the relational dimension requires immediate attention from all stakeholders. This study aims to identify solutions from the prophetic Sunnah for addressing relational injustice within human relationships, animals, and the environment, in contemporary settings. This qualitative study uses document analysis for data collection, identifying relational injustice problems followed by the recognition of related hadith in various books of hadith compilation. Hadith commentaries and other relevant sources were then consulted to analyse the data. The results demonstrate that relational injustice issues in the contemporary era, such as racism, animal cruelty, and environmental degradation, require solutions from divine guidance, particularly the prophetic approaches, which encompass recognition of the equality of mankind, compassion towards animals, ethics in animal slaughtering, ethics in engaging with nature, and reward for nature’s cultivation, respectively. Therefore, the notion that the Sunnah is irrelevant as a solution in the modern era should be strictly debunked. This study suggests that incorporating prophetic teachings on relational justice may provide practical frameworks for addressing contemporary social and environmental challenges.
This study aims to demonstrate the importance of providing instruction in listening comprehension and oral expression before teaching grammatical rules in the acquisition of Arabic by non-native speakers, in light of the communicative-integrative approach, second language acquisition theories, and language teaching methods. The study stems from a common educational observation that many non-native learners of Arabic study grammar, such as syntax and morphology, at early stages and memorize related texts, particularly in religious schools that emphasize Arabic, despite their weak linguistic repertoire and inability to express themselves or communicate orally in Arabic. Adopting a descriptive-analytical method, this study analyzes this educational path within the framework of the communicative-integrative approach, which is based on interaction, comprehension, and usage prior to grammatical analysis, and compares it with traditional grammar-based methods. It draws on the historical origins of Arabic grammar, which show that Arabic was used orally before being codified, as well as language acquisition theories and related studies. The findings indicate that starting with comprehension and speaking creates a natural acquisition environment that contributes to developing communicative competence and building genuine linguistic ability, whereas early focus on grammar leads to formal learning that does not reflect on comprehension or oral skills. The study concludes with the necessity of reorganizing teaching priorities so that grammar is employed later as an explanatory and organizational tool rather than a starting point, alongside preparing suitable curricula and qualifying teachers.
This study seeks to identify the principles and values of Islamic entrepreneurship based on authentic hadiths. It also evaluates their implications for creating an Islamic entrepreneurship model that aligns with maqasid shariah. The research addresses a significant gap in the literature on Islamic entrepreneurship, which often overlooks the main religious text sources. It focuses on the collection of authentic hadiths in al-Kutub al-Tis’ah, which systematically covers economics, sociology and psychology based on the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The study employs a qualitative approach, using content analysis and thematic analysis of hadith texts from nine key books: Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Daud, Al-Tirmizi, Al-Nasa’i, Ibn Majah, Musnad Ahmad, Muwatta’ Malik and Sunan al-Darimi. Data analysis utilized ATLAS.ti software, focusing on textual analysis and coding methods. The results reveal that values such as fairness, benevolence, clarity of halal and haram and avoidance of usury (riba), uncertainty (gharar) and deception (fraud) are fundamental to ethical Islamic entrepreneurship. These values significantly influence business success and the economic development of the ummah. This study enhances the theoretical framework of Islamic entrepreneurship by integrating hadith texts as genuine sources. Additionally, it can support Islamic economic development policies and strengthen Malaysia's position as a global halal hub rooted in universal Islamic values.
This study examines the aesthetic, linguistic, and spiritual significance of Dikir Burdah (DB)) lyrics within the Malay community of Sri Aman, Sarawak, Malaysia (SASM), through the translation of the original Arabic lyrics into English. The translation process seeks to uncover the profound Islamic cultural heritage embedded in the poetic expression, highlighting the spiritual insights and moral teachings conveyed through the lyrics. Adopting a qualitative methodology, data were collected via in-depth interviews with cultural practitioners, direct observation of Dikir Burdah (DB) performances, and an analysis of the translated text. The findings illustrate that Dikir Burdah (DB) functions not only as a cultural artifact but also as a vital conduit for the inter-generation transmission of Islamic values, spiritual contemplation, and the preservation of cultural identity. Despite challenges posed by modernization, community-led initiatives are instrumental in sustaining this art performance, ensuring the continuity of Islamic cultural heritage for future generations.
