Van De Tran, Thi My Loan Vo, Khanh Nguyen Di, Quang Loc Duyen Vo, Trung Tin Pham, Minh Trung Nguyen, Ba Kien Tran,Duy Toan Pham

Background: Low job satisfaction is associated with lower productivity. However, job dissatisfaction among hospital pharmacists and their perspectives on proposed or implemented solutions to improve satisfaction remain a knowledge gap in Vietnam. Methods: A qualitative study was conducted in four healthcare facilities in a province in southern Vietnam from February to April 2023. Purposive sampling was used to recruit 18 hospital pharmacists and department/hospital leaders. Semi-structured interviews were conducted, focusing on aspects of job dissatisfaction and proposed solutions. Transcripts were analyzed using thematic analysis and applying a grounded theory-based approach. Results: Four themes related to dissatisfaction were identified, including: (1) the work environment, (2) direct leadership and colleagues, (3) internal regulations, salary, and benefits, and (4) learning and advancement opportunities. Four corresponding improvement solutions were developed to address these issues. Conclusion: Work environment, direct leadership and colleague relationships, internal regulations, salary, benefits, and opportunities for learning and advancement were identified as four key factors contributing to hospital pharmacists' dissatisfaction. These findings provide valuable insights for hospital administrators seeking to optimize work conditions and retain a motivated pharmacy workforce.

220- Molecular Detection of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Glutathione (GSH) Depletion in Cervical Cancer: Implications for Oxidative Stress
Anwer Jaber Faisal, Noor Kareem Kadhim, Eman Thamer Garallah, Baraa Ahmed Saeed

Background and Aim: Cervical carcinoma is highly prevalent, with a prevalence of about 25 % of all female cancers, and as recent research has conclusively proved, over 90 % of cervical cancer is caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). As such, this study will categorically evaluate the incidence of HPV infection and association with cervical cancer and, at the same time, the systemic antioxidant levels, namely glutathione (GSH), in female patients who have the disease. Methods: The population under study was composed of 160 women, of whom the patients (n = 80) and healthy women (n = 80) were the control group of the study. Cervical swabs were collected, and quantitative DNA extraction was done using RT-PCR of the Late gene 1 and Early gene 6 areas of HPV. Also, a blood sample was taken in order to determine the level of glutathione (GSH) through an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Result: 29/80 (36.25%) tested positive with HPV. The findings revealed a negative correlation between GSH levels and the patient group , with a negative result of the levels decreasing in the cervical cancer group and the levels appearing in the normal range in the healthy control group. Conclusion: Decreasing GSH in patients with cervical cancer could be a sign of an impaired antioxidant defense system. These results are important to indicate that monitoring of HPV infection and antioxidant levels in women is required to prevent and diagnose it at an early stage.

32- Exploring the Role of Vitamin D in Preventing DMBA-Induced Breast and Lung Cancers: Insights from a Preclinical Model
Laila Matalqah, Ahmed Helaly, Sina Matalqah, Khaldoon Radaideh, Mazher Al-Zoubi, Romany Thabet,Doaa Ghorab

Introduction: The role of vitamin D in the treatment of breast cancer has remained controversial. The purpose of this research was to investigate the prophylactic potential of vitamin D against breast carcinoma. Materials and Methods: Sprague-Dawley rats were used as models for DMBA-induced chemical breast cancer. Results: After seven months, the findings indicated a positive impact of vitamin D on breast and lung cancer prophylaxis, suggesting its potential in mitigating lung cancer. In comparison to mouse models, inducing breast cancer in Sprague-Dawley rats was more challenging, despite the clear effects of vitamin D and tamoxifen. The vitamin D dose was found to be hazardous. Additionally, the DMBA-induced cancer model showed inhibited vitamin D receptor expression. Conclusion: The vitamin D receptor pathway may play a crucial role in breast cancer development and treatment. Further research is needed to explore interspecies resistance to breast tumor carcinogenesis and to better understand the effects of vitamin D in cancer prevention.

415- in Vitro and in Vivo Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Activities of Calotropis Procera Against Different Inflammation Models
Seshamma Sikinam, Koigoora Srikanth, Suneelkumar Akunuru

The investigation aimed to assess the potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory efficacy of the aqueous flower extracts of Calotropis procera (CP). Anti-inflammatory effectiveness was examined using CP flower extract on In-Vitro anti-lipoxygenase. Activity, pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF-α strength was assessed for the anti-inflammatory properties, carrageenan-induced rat paw edema assay, egg albumin-induced inflammation in Wistar rats, and xylene-induced ear edema in mice were evaluated. The results showed that CP flower extract possessed significant phenolic (72.23 ± 0.47 μg/mg) and flavonoid content (35.87 ± 1.32g quercetin/100g), estimated by the content of its antioxidant compounds, and had higher antioxidant activity. The floral extract demonstrated strong immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects. Paw edema volume and LPS-induced cytokines TNF-α, IL-1β, PGE2, and LTB4 (CP-200 mg/mL dose) were all considerably (p<0.05) decreased at different dosing levels. Interestingly, CP at all doses showed a significant reduction of TNF-α (47.47 % inhibition), IL-1β (35.21 % inhibition), PGE2 (35.31 % inhibition), and LTB4 (39.00 % inhibition) concentrations more than the standard drug serum levels were reduced. The findings highlight the value of CP flower extract as a possible resource for industrial and medicinal uses. This study shows that CP flower extract has anti-inflammatory properties (1.75 ± 0.04 % inhibition) at 200 mg/kg; it had a more pronounced effect while still having effects comparable to those of the prescription medication.

54- Clinical Investigation of the Impact of Zinc and Vitamin D3 Deficiency on Hair Growth and Quality in Individuals Experiencing Hair Loss
Ahmed Abdulraheem Ibrahim Dahy, Baraa Ahmed Saeed, Qabas. A.T. Alraw, Ayat Jawad Ali, Estabraq Faris Fadhil, Anwer Jaber Faisal

Background and Aim: Hair tissue growth and repair, cell division, protein synthesis, enzyme function, hormone balancing, and wound healing all depend on zinc. Many of the biological processes of vitamin D3 are necessary for the growth of hair follicles. The study will focus on gender-specific zinc and vitamin D3 levels in individuals with and without hair loss, aiming to understand how these factors influence the growth and health of hair follicles and inform the development of evidence-based, personalized hair loss prevention and treatment plans. Methods: 120 respondents' levels of zinc and vitamin D3 were examined; the respondents were divided into two groups based on their gender and whether or not they had hair loss. Vitamin D3 levels were measured using the Cobas C411, a fully automated, closed-system laboratory kit. The Cobas C311, a Roche device, was used to measure the zinc level. Result: Men without hair loss had substantially higher (P≤0.01) zinc and vitamin D3 levels (18.62 ±0.67 µg/dL and 32.64 ±0.79 ng/mL) than those with hair loss (47.11 ±0.98 µg/dL and 18.65 ±0.69 ng/mL). Women without hair loss showed significantly greater zinc and vitamin D3 levels (79.47 ±3.91 µg/dL and 25.11 ±0.66 ng/mL, P≤0.01) than those who did have hair loss (Zinc 23.77 ±1.35 µg/dL and vitamin D3 8.44 ±0.56 ng/mL). Higher zinc and vitamin D3 levels were seen in men with hair loss (Zinc 47.11 ±0.98 µg/dL and vitamin D3 18.65 ±0.69 ng/mL) compared to women with the same condition (Zinc 23.77 ±1.35 µg/dL and vitamin D3 8.44 ±0.56 ng/mL) Conclusion: These results suggest that men and women have distinct nutrient metabolism and needs, and that zinc and vitamin D3 deficits may result in hair loss. Variations in nutrition metabolism and utilization may be caused by biological and physiological factors, such as hormone fluctuations. The diagnosis and treatment of hair loss by gender are the main topics of this essay. Vitamin deficiencies can be addressed by diet and supplements to help manage hair loss and enhance the health of the scalp and hair.
