The objective of this study was to investigate the association among office automation and staff members' quality of life and self-efficacy in Information Technology Parks / IT Companies and printing industry. The investigation was conducted in the field using correlational descriptive data collection technique keeping in mind the practical objective. The whole employees (N=50) of IT parks/printing industry were represented in the data population. Also, 384 individuals were randomly selected as the sample of the study, and the selection strategy of the study included Stratified Random Sampling and Morgan tables to estimate the sample size. According to the data of Cranach's alpha, the reliability of the questionnaire was evaluated by administering it to 30 publics. The results of work life office automation alpha=0.80, self-efficacy alpha=0.78, and quality questionnaire alpha=0.8 respectively, indicating the importance of the questionnaire. For inferential analysis of results and hypotheses using SPSS software version 22, Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistical models, linear regression, Shapiro-Wilk, Pearson coefficient were used. According to the results of linear regression, office automation does not significantly affect the self-efficacy of employees (p=0.19, t=0.142), but it significantly affects the quality of life of employees (P>0.001, For SQ (t)= 11.562,), and according to the coefficient of determination (R2=0.837). However, an agreed office automation analysis with reliability analysis is good.
Current research study was carried out as an approach to examine the mediating effect of IT infrastructure on the relationship between strategic human resource management (SHRM) (Compensation planning, Recruitment, Succession planning, and Employee development) and organizational performance. Quantitative approach was adopted and an online questionnaire was filled by a convenient sample of (193) human resource managers in chemical and pharmaceutical industries organizations in Jordan. SPSS was used in order to screen and analyze gathered primary data; results of study accepted the hypothesis arguing that strategic human resource management has the ability to influence organizational performance through the mediating influence of IT infrastructure, what is meant by that is SHRM is stronger and more able to perform its tasks with a well-built IT base in the organization which can lead to better managing of employees, and as a results better performance of employees which in its turn helps in increasing the efficiency of organizational performance. Study recommended implementing a human resource management system that is effective and efficient and able to track employee performance and provide feedback. Banks play an important role in the development and prosperity of countries' economies. We cannot carry out daily transactions, whether individual or business, without their presence. The purpose of current study is to investigate whether a relationship exists between insolvency risk and Islamic banks' profitability in the MENA region. Previous researchers covered this risk individually, however, in this study the risk is taken into consideration including the deposit ratio which are the control variables in this study. For this purpose, data were obtained from 12 MENA countries covering 20 Islamic banks as panel data over ten years period from 2011 till 2020. The fixed effect models were relied upon to analysis data. In the study, the results of two profitability measures (ROA and ROE) were discussed to explain how they are distinct from each other using insolvency risk as independent variable. The results show that insolvency risk has insignificant effect on the profitability of Islamic banks measured by ROA and ROE, regarding control variable, the outcome demonstrate that deposit ratio has insignificant effect on ROA and ROE.
The recovery in the economic sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic is challenging for all countries, including Indonesia. This study aims to analyze financial performance before and after the Covid-19 pandemic as a moderating variable to see the effect of corporate governance mechanisms on tax avoidance. Financial performance is represented as Return on Assets (ROA) and became a moderating variable, while corporate governance mechanism is represented as institutional ownership and audit committees that influence tax avoidance. The population in this study was 189 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the 2019 - 2021 period. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling, namely, companies that were consistent and not delisted on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the 2019-2021 period, including companies that did not experience losses during the 2019-2021 period. This study used panel data regression analysis with Eviews 12.0 program, which was then analyzed through a quantitative approach. The results of the study indicated that institutional ownership has a significant negative effect on tax avoidance, and ROA as the moderator can strengthen the effect of institutional ownership on tax avoidance. While the audit committee also has a significant negative effect on tax avoidance, ROA as the moderator can strengthen the effect of the audit committee on tax avoidance.
Employees' job performance is vital for organizations, including for companies in various industries in Indonesia. However, many employees have yet to be able to perform optimally, including employees in companies of finance, trade, service, and investment industries in Indonesia. It is a crucial problem that requires a quick solution. Therefore, this study investigates employees' job performance in relationships with ethical leadership, workplace spirituality, and proactive behavior, both directly and indirectly, through mediation mechanisms as an alternative solution. The participants of this study are 428 employees in companies of finance, trade, service, and investment industries across three provinces (Jakarta, West Java, and Banten) in Indonesia. Data collection was carried out through a survey using a Likert scale questionnaire designed in Google Forms and shared via the WhatsApp application. The data analysis employed by structural equation modeling (SEM) found that ethical leadership, workplace spirituality, and proactive behavior directly affect employees' job performance. Furthermore, ethical leadership and workplace spirituality directly affect employees' proactive behavior. Finally, ethical leadership indirectly affects employees' job performance mediated by workplace spirituality and proactive behavior. This evidence proves a new empirical model regarding the role of workplace spirituality and proactive behavior in mediating the ethical leadership affecting employees' job performance as a novelty. These findings provide practical and theoretical contributions to studying human resources management and organizational behavior, especially those related to developing employees' job performance based on ethical leadership through mediation mechanisms of workplace spirituality and proactive behavior. Therefore, researchers and practitioners can take advantage of the empirical models produced by this research in their studies and projects to develop job performance in the future.
