Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of alprostadil (PGE1) and cobamamide on peripheral diabetic neuropathy. Methods 64 diabetics with peripheral neuropathy were given daily dose of 100~200μg of PGE1and 250 ml of normal saline by intravenous instillation slowly for 2~4 weeks consecutive days,at the same time they were given Cobamanlide 0.75 mg,po,t.i.d for 30 days. Results wonted sense,bones of the extremities ache and tendonreflex weaken etc were improved .The improvement rate is 85%、94%、93%.The SVC of patient was lower before the treatment.The SVC of patient was improved after the treatment(>5m/s). Conclusion PGE1 associate with cobamamide have well curative effect for peripheral diabetic neuropathy.
