AdsorPtion ProPerties rePresent the gas storage Performance of coal and diffusion characteristics of coal show the gas release ability of coal,and both are the necessary conditions leading to coal and gas outburst. In order to find out the inner relationshiP between the absorPtion ProPerties and gas diffusion characteristics of coal,exPerimental research was carried out on the change regularity of gas diffusion characteristics of coal with different gas adsorPtion ProPerties by combining with the existing exPeriment conditions and taking the relationshiP between the limit gas adsorPtion amount of coal samPle and the initial gas diffusion velocity of coal as the breakthrough Point. The exPerimental results showed that the initial gas diffusion velocityΔP of coal increased with the increase of coal adsorPtion constants a,and a linear relationshiP existed between them.

The gas migration in coal body in front of the fully mechanized caving face mainly seepages along the coal seam surface to the mined-out space.When a fully mechanized caving face is cyclically advanced forward,the structure of the seepage field of coal body gas changed.Simulation analysis was made on the gas pressure near the fully mechanized caving face by using ANSYS10.0 transient analysis module in order to further probe into the variation regularity of gas pressure distribution in the coal body in front of the fully mechanized caving face and effectively control the gas.Study indicated that the varying gradient of gas pressure in the stress-lowering zone in front of the fully mechanized caving face is large,but in the stress-increasing zone,the gas pressure is relatively high and the varying gradient of gas pressure is small;the gradient of gas pressure formed in the first coal-caving cycle in front of the face is larger than that in the second coal-caving cycle.

To counter the essential component-PMT used in dust measurement,analysis and study were made on this component.Through analysis and experimental study on the characteristics such as operating time,reference voltage,temperature and magnetic field of PMT,it is concluded that the PMT output was tending towards stability with the increase of operating time of it dust measurement system;different reference voltage had different stability;the output voltage of PMT decreased slightly with temperature rise;and magnetic field had sensitive influence on the sensitivity of PMT.These conclusions can provide basis for the design of hardware and software in dust measurement system,and also offer reference for the application of PMT in other aspects.
