In order to provide technological supports for conservation tillage in Jiaodong Peninsula,the effects of conservation tillage on photosynthetic characteristics and yield of winter wheat were studied in dry land.There were four treatments of conventional tillage(CT)、straw returning no-tillage(NT1)、all-pole straw returning no-tillage(NT2)、straw returning and subsoiling no-tillage(NTS).Photosynthetic indexes of winter wheat after anthesis were determined and yield components were investigated.The results showed that after anthesis the leaf area index,chlorophyll content of flag leaf and photosynthesis rate of winter wheat under conservation tillage were higher than CT treatment,and the higher values lasted longer time;the photosynthetic function period was prolonged,grain filling rate was improved,therefore,higher grain number per spike and 1000-grain weight were obtained,in which NTSS treatment was the best in the trial,however,conventional tillage decreased spike number with 240 million / ha less than conventional farming.The performance of the yield was as NTSS was the highest,then CT and NT2,and NT1.And it shows that combination of subsoiling technique and straw returning is a good drought prevention technique,and it can improve the yield potential efficiently under conservation tillage in dry land and reach higher economic benefit.
