According to the sintering production conditions at Dazhou Iron and Steel Group Co. Ltd (DISGC), the effects of titanium magnetite proportion in ore mix on sintering process and metallurgical properties of sinter are investigated in this paper. The results showed that vertical sintering speed declined to less than 25 mm/min and RDI index became worse with increasing of titanium magnetite concentrate ratio to reach 12 %. For these considerations, titanium magnetite concentrate ratio in ore mix should be controlled within 5 %.

Grasping firmly technic management,optimizing continuously material charge mixture and intensifying technic process controling and the utilization coefficient of 2# 85 m2 sintering machine of DaZhou Steel excess its design capacity consumedly.In 2006 the utilization coefficient achieved 1.711 t/m2·h.The output of sinter ore was continuously improved.
Along with 3# BF of DaZhou Steel putting into production,the production capacity of two sintering machines cannot satisfy the demand of BF production.For improving further the output and quality of sinter,we have earnestly analysed,tested and studied operating principle.We probed constantly for feasible technological operation parameter.Sinter solid burning-out and cost have consumedly been reduced and achieved anticipative effect in the instance of assuring sinter intensity index for one more years.
