高等学校图书馆馆长是图书馆工作的决策者、管理者，如何率领员工优质、高效的开展工作，履行为教学和科研服务的职能，不但要根据自身管理职责正确、有效的行使权力，而且要通过自身良好的素质树立威信，才能营造出团结、和谐并充满生机与活力的图书馆环境。

作为高校三大办学支柱之一的图书馆,其不仅承担着为学校科研教学提供服务的责任,在倡导读书、组织读书以及服务读书等方面也起着至关重要的作用。本文从分析高校图书馆存在的重要意义出发,指出高校现代化图书管理存在的问题,并针对这些问题找出高校现代图书管理的创新路径,希望能够为相关研究提供一定的借鉴。

新形势下,两类图书馆的发展趋势出现了较大差异,可以说二者是两种类型不同的图书馆。高校加强了图书馆整合趋势,并取得很好的效果,与此相对的公共图书馆则受各种因素影响迟迟得不到发展,更为明显的问题是连给图书馆缺乏交流与沟通,往往各自为营,无法打破宏观意义上的业界局限,走向资源共享,笔者在这里从探索二者之间的整合交流工作的问题出发,并分析其解决措施,以彰显二者合作的必要性与可行性。希望能对二者的交流共赢有所帮助。

The working efficiency of borrowing and returning books, newspapers and periodicals in many university libraries has been improved since they installed the servers and workstation computers. However, with the increasing quantity and circulation volume of books, newspapers and periodicals, the capacity of the database has been enlarged,leading to the low operating speed of the server. What' s more, it also results in the low working efficiency of the library staffs by making them waiting for a long time in order to do querying, cataloging, and borrowing and returning books, newspapers and periodicals when they are working with the workstation computers. In order to improve the efficiency of applying information technology in university libraries, the load of the database server must be reduced. Here are the methods found out by the library programmers of our college by using ADO.NET to write programs in order to reduce the load of database server. It provides some reference for the staffs whose work is to maintain the servers and workstation computers in libraries.
