На основе анализа наблюдений 24-летнего ряда параметра конденсационной активности аэрозоля в приземном слое атмосферы г. Томска выявлено, что наиболее значимые его изменения наблюдаются в годовом ходе. Также обнаружены более медленные колебания с периодом 6-7 лет.
При изучении конденсационного роста атмосферного аэрозоля многими исследователями отмечается зависимость гигроскопических свойств от размера частиц. В данной работе на примере тестовых измерений рассмотрена связь параметра конденсационной активности со средним радиусом ансамбля аэрозольных частиц и объемной долей фракций d < 200 нм и d = 500 – 1000 нм. Ввиду небольшого массива данных результаты являются предварительными.

We present experimental and theoretical results on electronic structure, galvanomagnetic, and thermoelectric properties (Hall coefficient, electrical resistivity, and Seebeck coefficient) of Co1−xMxSi (M=Fe, Ni; x=0–0.1) compounds at temperatures from 80 K to 800 K. CoSi is a long known promising thermoelectric semimetal. Recently, it was shown that CoSi and the CoSi-based alloys belong to the family of materials with a topologically nontrivial electronic structure. We discuss possible connection of the observed dependences of the transport properties on temperature and alloy composition with ab initio electronic structure of the compounds. The electronic structure was calculated using density functional theory, and transport properties were analyzed in constant relaxation time, as well as in more realistic energy-dependent relaxation time approximations.

A study of a child with intellectual disability revealed an enlarged p-arm in chromosome 13 and amplified rDNA. qRT-PCR showed an approximately 6-fold increased level of rRNA in the patient's blood samples. fMRI study revealed changes in uncinate fasciculus. His father is a carrier of the same chromosome, healthy and has a normal level of rRNA.
Results of this study of titanite samples collected from silicate rocks and apatite-nepheline-(sphene) ores from Paleozoic polyphase alkaline nepheline syenite complexes of the Khibiny and Lovozero massifs revealed the possibility of their in-situ U-Pb dating using sensitive high-resolution ion microprobe SHRIMP-II with an accuracy of 1.0-1.5%, which is comparable with that of U-Pb zircon analysis. Employing different approaches to age determination of the formation of the U-Pb system of titanites, the combined isochrons and mixing lines were plotted from the data obtained from the differentiated complex samples (121 analyses of five Khibiny samples and 52 analyses of one Lovozero sample) and apatite-nepheline ores (120 analyses of five Khibiny samples and 88 analyses of three Lovozero samples). They indicate synchronous crystallization of titanite in silicate rocks throughout the complexes: 374.1 +/- 3.7 Ma for the Khibiny massif and 380.9 +/- 4.5 Ma for the Lovozero massif, and attest to the later formation of phosphate-rare-metal ores: 371.0 +/- 4.2 and 361.4 +/- 3.2 Ma, respectively. The relatively delayed ore mineralization specific to the Lovozero massif can be accounted for the significantly lower volumes of magmatic melt and ore fluid involved, different thermal conditions, and the pattern of the investigated mineralization. As such, the obtained U-Pb data from titanite make it possible to limit significantly the time interval (most likely, not exceeding 15-20 Ma) comprising the evolution and activity of the ore-magmatic system of major agpaitic complexes, which is probably associated with plume magmatism. In the alluvial deposits of the Prizhlimny Creek (southern part of the Koryak Highland), grains of platinum-group minerals are found along with gold. We have established that the grains are native platinum (Pt, Fe) containing Cu (up to 5 wt.%), Os (up to 8 wt.%), and Rh (up to 2 wt.%). Inclusions in the platinum are native osmium (the content of Ir impurity reaches 12 wt.%, the average content being 0.2–4 wt.%), an unnamed intermetallic compound of composition PtRh, sulfides and arsenides of PGE (cooperite, laurite, malanite, cuproiridsite, cuprorhodsite, sperrylite, hollingworthite, unnamed compounds PdS, (Ir,Ru)S2, (Ir,Pt)S2, Cu, and Fe (bornite, chalcopyrite), chromite, and Cr-magnetite. Replacement of native-osmium crystals by compound IrO2 is described. It has been established that this compound formed during oxidation accompanied by the replacement of isoferroplatinum by native platinum. The data obtained agree with the results of study of platinum-group mineral assemblages from placers localized in weakly eroded Ural–Alaskan-type massifs whose apical parts formed under high oxygen activity conditions. Clinopyroxenites of the Prizhimny massif are considered to be the potential source of PGE.
Operation of technical equipment involves three consecutive stages, each of which is characterized by a particular trend in the behavior of the failure flow parameter (FFP). The FFP value is approximately constant during normal operation. In this case, the equipment operation process is assumed to be temporally homogeneous and the reliability indicators are calculated by conventional methods. At the burn-in stage, the FFP decreases with time while increasing at the aging stage. Therefore, the operating times between two successive failures at the burn-in and aging stages are not similarly distributed random values and the flow of events cannot be assumed to be recurrent. It shall be taken into account in the reliability performance calculation that the flow of failures is temporally inhomogeneous. The paper describes a method to estimate the NPP equipment reliability indicators allowing the potential inhomogeneity of the failure flow to be taken into account. The specific nature of incoming statistical data on failures is shown. The application of the normalizing flow function model for the calculation of required reliability indicators is described. A practical example of an analysis of data on the Bilibino NPP CPS KNK-56 component failures is presented.
The paper considers a new mathematical model for calculating reliability coefficients of the systems (or elements) which probabilistic characteristics can vary in time. The systems with the operable state and the down state are considered. The new mathematical model can take into account possible "distortions" of an event flows by means of a normalizing flow function Ψ. The normalizing flow function model is presented. The equations for renewal function and failure intensity, distribution of counting process, generating function for the counting process, the Wald equation for NFF-model and limits theorems are deduced.
The paper considers a variant of estimating structural stealthiness of a chaotic sequence formed by logistic mapping which is used as a carrier during transmission of a binary message. Comparative analysis of structural stealthiness of chaotic sequence during joint estimation of unknown initial value and its control parameter is conducted.
In this paper a method for reliability analysis of restorable items is considered. We present the model describing a variation of reliability characteristics of objects and taking into account incomplete repair of operability after failure. The asymptotic solution for the intensity of the geometric process model is obtained. Reliability characteristics of the geometric process model for various distribution laws and various parameters are calculated.
Understanding the earliest period of hominid dispersal from Africa to Eurasia requires reliable ages. Since artifacts are not suitable for direct dating, geochronology of an artifact host-rock matrix is the only robust approach. Possible matrix contamination limits the application of bulk mineral analysis, but the spatially selective secondary ionization mass spectrometry (SIMS) technique allows screening of contaminants. In two recently discovered Early Paleolithic sites in the northern Armenian Highland, the stratigraphic sequence includes ash-bearing volcanic layers with zircon autocrysts, suitable for SIMS U–Pb dating. At the Karakhach site, zircons from the ash-bearing volcanic layers yielded single age populations. This suggests that the layers were formed during multiple eruptions and were not reworked. Zircon crystallization ages of 1.942±0.046Ma, 1.804±0.030Ma, and 1.750±0.020Ma are close to eruptions and therefore date the enclosed Early Acheulian lithic artifacts. For artifacts underneath the oldest ash layer, the zircon age indicates the minimum age of artifacts. These results identify the Karakhach as the oldest Early Acheulian site in Eurasia. At the Kurtan site, the dated ash layer underlies palaeosols containing Early-Middle Acheulian artifacts. The stratigraphic succession at this site implies that the U–Pb zircon age of 1.432±0.028Ma from the ash is nearly coeval with the beginning of human occupation at the site.
Описана методика непараметрического оценивания показателей надежности уникального высоконадежного оборудования. Отмечено, что в условиях малых выборок статистических данных об отказах необходимо производить интервальное оценивание характеристик надежности. Приведены формулы для определения доверительных интервалов характеристик надежности. Для таких характеристик, как среднее прямое и обратное остаточное время, разработана бутстреп процедура определения доверительных интервалов с заданной доверительной вероятностью. Проведены расчеты характеристик надежности на примере реальных данных, полученных из опыта эксплуатации.
We investigated some events of long-term change of meteorological parameters of the troposphere under the influence of single solar flares of the X-ray type which were accompanied by coronal mass ejection (CME), from 2001 to 2006. It is established that the basic effect on high-altitude profiles of temperature, pressure and damp for northern latitudes from 74 to 60 degrees is produced by CME. At round-the-clock irradiating the troposphere by the Sun, the CME action results in an increase of temperature by more than 10 degrees C at heights more than 9 km. At the lower altitudes, the troposphere temperature decreases by the same value. Under the polar night conditions, the profiles of temperature change appear opposite. At altitudes more than 6 km, the atmosphere cools down by about 4 degrees C. Lower layers are heated up by the Earths radiation by the same magnitude. In all the cases the decrease of atmospheric pressure is detected. At a height of 9 km, the atmospheric pressure can exceed 10 hPa. For all the cases, the troposphere damp decreases across the whole thickness of the mean troposphere. In specific cases similar influence of direct solar protons on the troposphere is detected.
We consider the problem of processing statistical data obtained during the operation of pumping units CN 60–180 operating as standard equipment of the VVER-1000 reactors. Data for analysis was taken from the industry database of VNIIAES. The objects’ operation has been observed from January 1, 1990 to December 31, 2007. Statistical information is processed with nonparametric estimation method called root estimation. We obtain reliability characteristics for the units: time-to-failure density and distribution function, faultless operation probability, and fault intensity. The obtained results are used to determine control influences.
