Objective To evaluate the effect of treating lung cancer through bronchial artery medication(drug treatment).Method Total 16 patients with lung cancer treated by bronchial artery infusion(BAI),and the changes of the tumor diameter,alleviation of clinical symptoms and complications following infusion were observed.Results The diameter of tumor shrunk to be smaller after BAI,most of the clinical symptoms were also alleviated and no major complication occured.Conclusion The effect and the safety are good after treating lung cancer with BAI.
Objective:To investigate the clinical value of treating small carcinoma of liver through hot lipiodol(110℃) embolization.Methods:118 cases of highly selective angiography were performed in 38 patients who had single nodular hepa-tocellular carcinoma(all primary).103 cases of the intratumorous embolization therapy using hot lipiodol were performed in 38 patients,15 cases of the therapy using hot lipiodol were not performed again for tumor feeding artery.Results:The com-pletely filled-full intratumorous embolization was obtained in all patients.The complete necrosis was confirmed in 4 patients followed by carcinoma resection.Pathologic examination indicated that,necrosis of cancer tissue was 100 percent.Within the follow-up average 35 months(14 to 55 months),all patients were alive and there was no serious complication occurred.Conclusion:The completely filled-full intratumorous embolization for small carcinoma of the liver can be achieved by using the skills of hot lipiodol therapy.The satisfactory priliminary results seem to be comparable to that of the surgery.Further study is necessary.
Objective:To investigate the clinical therapeutic effects of pingyangmycin-lipiodol emulsion(PLE)embolization in the treatment of cavernous hemangioma of liver(CHL).Methods:28 cases of CHL were treated with PLE by tran-scatheter arterial embolization with Seldinger techniqne.All cases were followed up 3 to 18 months after the procedure.Results:The iodized oil deposited well after the embolization.The minification of 22 cases(78.6%)of cavernous hemangioma anteroposterior diameter were larger than 50%,and 4 cases(14.3%)were less than 50%,2 cases had no marked change,and no serious complication occurred.Conclusion:It is suggested that PLE intra-hepatic-arterial embolization is effective and safe for treating CHL.
