Seismic sedimentology is the use of seismic data to study sedimentary rocks and the processes by which they are formed. It mainly use 3D seismic information and modern geophysical technology to study sedimentary systems,sedimentary facies spread and its evolution history. We use the technology of the frequency spectrum decomposition and stratal slicing,the key wells constraints to facies types,as well as geomorphic features of different sand shapes to start seismic sedimentological studies in paleogene thin-bedded sand section in Quele,Tabei Uplift. By analyzing a series of typical stratal slices,we find that the target zone is mainly subaqueous distributary channel of fan-delta,the delta lobes override in vertical profile,and lacustrine mudstone deposits between underwater distributary of fan-delta.
To predict the favorable development area of buried hill reservoirs in Sandaoqiao Area of Tarim Basin,the lithology of buried hill and reservoir characteristics are defined in this area based on lithology observation and thin section identification and combined with the seismic facies analysis of buried hill.There are three kinds of buried hill reservoirs,which area dolomite,shallow metamorphic rock and metamorphic rock reservoirs.Buried hill reservoirs are mainly composed of fractures.The distribution range of buried hills is delineated by the seismic amplitude attributes and the favorable areas are predicted using seismic coherence attributes.Prediction result is confirmed in late drilling and a good effect of exploration is obtained.
Fluid flow of low permeability reservoir has obvious non-Darcy flow characteristic. The fluid will not flow until the formation fluid overcomes certain actuating pressure gradient in the process of test, provided the reservoir is not polluted. As a result, obtaining precise fluid properties and quantity is difficult. Getting stable formation pressure and reservoir properties are more difficult. Through the test technology research, reasonable time plan of test is adopted, stratification straddle test technology is popularized positively and the fracture effect is evaluated by test technology. The difficulty of getting data during the process of testing low permeability reservoir is solved perfectly.
