This study explored the effects of reactive nitrogen metabolites (RNMS) on natural-killer- (NK-) cell-mediated killing of K562 cells and the influence of RNM scavengers, such as tiopronin (TIP), glutamylcysteinylglycine (GSH), and histamine dihydrochloride (DHT), on reversing the suppressing effect of RNM. We administered exogenous and endogenous RNM in the NK + K562 culture system and then added RNM scavengers. The concentrations of RNM, TNF-β and IFN-γ, and NK-cell cytotoxicity (NCC) and the percentage of living NK cells were then examined. We found that both exogenous and endogenous RNM caused the KIR to decrease (P < 0.01); however, RNM scavengers such as TIP and GSH rescued this phenomenon dose dependently. In conclusion, our data suggests that RNM scavengers such as TIP and GSH enhance the antineoplasmic activity of NK cells.
This paper proposes a digital image watermark algorithm based on spread spectrum mechanism.It selects the pseudo random sequence modulation for the periodic sequence of continuation,and then encrypts.Taking into account the characteristics of human visual system,the positions and strengths of embedding into the original image which uses the same chip rate coefficients of the stationary wavelet transform domain are obtained.Selecting spread spectrum sequence determines the maximum coefficients of the wavelet transform domain and the key period sequence of watermark.Experimental results show that the algorithm has strong robustness.
Here in a co-cultivation system of natural killer (NK) cells and K562 cells, monocytes (MO) and/or interleukin (IL)-2/phytohemagglutinin (PHA) were administered. After MO were administered, reactive oxygen metabolites (ROM)/reactive nitrogen metabolites (RNM) productions increased, while tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-β/interferon (IFN)-γ levels and NK cell cytotoxicity (NCC) decreased, the changes of which after administering tiopronin (TIP) or glutamylcysteinylglycine (GSH) were opposite. In conclusions, the activated MO could inhibit the NK cell activity to kill K562 cell by secreting ROM and RNM. And TIP and GSH could scavenge both ROM and RNM to reverse the inhibitory effect of MO.
To recognize the limit of wavelet transform and the sensitive diversity of human visual system,an approach using a new edge detection algorithm based on wavelet packet and human visual system is proposed.Firstly,the median filtering is easy to remove image noise,and the denoising image is transformed by wavelet packet;The edge detection regions are by selecting the wavelet packet coefficients based on the characteristic of human visual model,and then use Log algorithm to select the zero-crossing;The detected edge image is obtained by reverse wavelet packet.The experimental results show that the algorithm compared with Roberts、Sobel、Prewitt and Laplacian of Gaussian edge detection algorithms not only agrees more with human's recognition,but also can get an even better application on some regions including abundant local details and some tiny areas that change.
An improved method of color image edge detection based on fuzzy entropy and BP neural network is presented.Firstly,the R、G、B of the color image are extracted and the combination of the three components is computed in the RGB color space.Through quoting fuzzy entropy,four information measures fuzzy entropy-based to describe the edge feature of color image are constructed and a feature vector is composed of the four measures components.Then through the training with the feature vector samples calculated from training images,the BP neural network acquires the function of a desired edge detector.Finally,the trained BP neural network is used for edge detection directly.The method is fully considered between the color components and their correlation in the color space.Besides,both the architecture and the training of BP neural network are simple.The experiment's result proves that this method has the strong retention capacity of details and is more sensitive to weak edge detection.

To explore the diversify of reactive nitrogen metabolites (RNM)/ reactive oxygen metabolites (ROM) and their influence on anti-K562 cell activity of NK cell during the monocytes respiratory burst.In the co-cultivation system of NK cells and K562 cells, mono-cytes or/and IL-2/PHA were administered, then the corresponding changes of RNM/ROM and TNF-β /IFN-γ production, as well as K562 cell inhibition rate (KIR) were observed.Besides, histamine dihydrochloride (DHT) and tiopronin (TIP) were administered in the culture system and the indexes above were observed again.After IL-2/PHA was administered in the cultivated systems mixing with NK cells and K562 cells as the E/T (NK/K562) ratio was 10/1, KIR increased gradually; after monocytes being appended as E/MO (NK/monocyte) ratio was 10/2, 10/5, and 10/10, RNM and ROM productions increased correspondingly, but TNF-β /IFN-γ production and KIR decreased.Controlling by K562 cells, the negative correlation coefficient of RNM to KIR exceeds that of ROM to KIR.After administering DHT and TIP, expecially TIP, the ROM production decreased but the TNF-β/IFN-γ production and KIR increased.Morover, TIP could decrease the RNM production but DHT failed.All the results suggest that monocytes could product a lot of ROM and RNM to degreded NK cells ac-tivity and disable NK cells in killing K562 cells, in which RNM may play more important role than ROM; TIP can reverse the depressant ef-fect of MO on NK cell by scavenging ROM and RNM.
