Integrating millimeter wave test equipments is an important approach for improving the test-efficiency and insu- ring the accuracy of test datum.We designed the test and control software of millimeter wave test system based on Lab- VIEW and NI-VISA by means of GPIB bus using SCPI instruction set and drives provided by the instruments.The paper briefly introduced the structure and main functions of the test and control software,and especially discussed the realiza- tion method of some key parts-the control software,the test software,database management and the test paper.The soft- ware realized the functions of the control of the measuring instruments,data acquisition,treating,saving and printing,and has already been used successfully in the work.The design method can provides important reference for developing simi- lar test system.
With the numerical calculation of radar cross section(RCS) of a perfectly conductive circular cylinder in free space as an example,the application of FVTD(Finite Volume in Time Domain) in Computational Electromagnetism(CEM) is discussed.The RCS values under the different scattering conditions are calculated and thoroughly analyzed.The results show that the calculated RCS has very good agreement with the theoretical value.
