Objective: To investigate the efficacy of Yin and Yang balance acupuncture in treating insomnia.Methods:An acupuncture group of 32 patients were treated by acupuncture regulation of Yin and Yang and a control group of 32 patients,with diazepam.Results:The total curative effect was 90.3% in the acupuncture group and almost the same as that in the control group.The clinical cure rate was higher for patients with thecourse of disease ≤one year than for those with the disease course one year in the acupuncture group.Conclusion:The therapeutic effect was almost the same in the acupuncture group as in the control group,with no significant side-effect.
