Equipment overhaul is the comprehensive recovery equipment performance repairs.It is the important means to save equipment construction funds,while maintaining troops fighting.This paper mainly analysis some existing problems in the developing process of the equipment overhaul,and summarizes the current army equipment overhaul with maintenance support mode diversification and maintenance interests diversification,maintenance tasks amount of uncertainty,spare parts purchasing difficult and so on,six characteristics.

Through the contrast of equipment overhaul and production,based on the overhaul process ,understand that the equipment overhaul have the big differences with the equipment production mainly in the stage of spare part repairing ,the stage of inspection and disassembles which are before it and the stage of duplicate load which is after it.Its main difficulties lie in the equipment's disassembles and duplicate load,the inspection and diagnosis,spare part repairing and so on,and need to fully consider the technique in them.Through anglicizing equipment overhaul's characteristic,we have better understanding to overhaul activity and deepening understanding to the equipment overhaul rule.
