Improvement and innovation can realize the historic transformation of strength manufacturing country from the large manufacturing country. In this paper we take the improvement of X7150 B milling machine for example. The development background and present situation of the product were analyzed. The matters of attention in the design and development of machine tool were discussed. The view of the effective combination of design theory and market demand was proposed.
