Objective To explore the difference of clinical characteristics of pyogenic liver abscess(PLA) patients with or without diabetes mellitus,so as to provide evidence for further treatment and nursing. Methods Clinical data of 151 PLA patients with diabetes mellitus(DM Group) and 145 PLA patients without diabetes mellitus from January 2005 to January 2011(Non-DM Group) were analyzed and compared. Results The mean age of the DM group(62.5±11.4) was higher than that in the Non-DM group(58.0±16.2)(P<0.05).The DM group had higher prevalence rates of cardiovascular diseases, but lower prevalence rates of malignancy tumor than the Non-DM Group.Klebsiella pneumonia(KP) was the most common pathogen identified in both blood and pus cultures in both groups, and the DM group had a higher detection rate in both blood(P<0.05) and pus(P<0.05) cultures. Conclusion Different clinical characteristics were found between PLA patients with or without DM and more attached should be paid to the PLA patients with DM.
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of happy factors intervention on patients of hypothyroidism.Methods:52 patients with hypothyroidism were randomly divided into control and experimental groups, with 26 patients in each groups.Patients in control group were just given routine nursing care and treatment, while happy factors intervention was applied to those in experimental group for nursing intervention.Treating compliance and curative effect in the two group were contrasted, and the states of patients before and after intervention was assessed by Hamilton depression rating scale for depression(HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety rating scale(HAMA).Results:After intervention, both HAMD and HAMA scores in experimental group were much lower than that of the control group(P0.05).Treating compliance and curative effect of experimental group was superior to the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Happy factors intervention helps hypothyroidism patients to increase positive emotion and thus improve the treating compliance and the curative effect effectively.
