Symmetric data play an effective role in the risk assessment process, and, therefore, integrating symmetrical information using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is essential in implementing projects with big data. This proactive approach helps to quickly identify risks and take measures to address them. However, this task is always time-consuming and costly. On the other hand, there is an essential need for an expert in this field to carry out this process manually. Therefore, in the present study, the authors propose a new methodology to automatically manage this task through a deep-learning technique. Moreover, due to the different nature of the risk data, it is not possible to consider a single neural network architecture for all of them. To overcome this problem, a Genetic Algorithm (GA) was employed to find the best architecture and hyperparameters. Finally, the risks were processed and predicted using the new proposed methodology without sending data to other servers, i.e., external servers. The results of the analysis for the first risk, i.e., latency and real-time processing, showed that using the proposed methodology can improve the detection accuracy of the failure mode by 71.52%, 54.72%, 72.47%, and 75.73% compared to the unique algorithm with the activation function of Relu and number of neurons 32, respectively, related to the one, two, three, and four hidden layers.
Chronic otitis externa of dogs is a significant problem due to the prevalence and complexity of the treatment of such animals. There is evidence that in 60–80% of cases of infectious diseases microorganisms located in the biofilm phenotype play the main role. Microorganisms in the biofilm phenotype have a number of advantages, the most significant of which is considered to be increased resistance to various external factors. Among them, a special place is occupied by resistance to antibiotics. In recent decades, research has been conducted at an increasing scale on the role of biofilm infections in various pathologies in veterinary medicine. The etiology and therapy of dog otitis externa caused by Malassezia pachydermatis biofilm has not been fully studied. This is why we consider relevant the scientific and practical aspects of research on the etiology and therapy of dog otitis externa from the position of biofilm infection. In this work, it has been statistically proven that there is a relationship between the optical density of Malassezia pachydermatis biofilms and their sensitivity to drugs, and this relationship is statistically significant. In addition, we have demonstrated that Farnesol has a good antibiofilm effect at a concentration of more 1.6 μM/mL (24% OD decrease of biofilm), and its highest antibiofilm effect (71–55%—more than a half) was observed at a concentration of 200–12.5 μM/mL.
Antibiotic-resistant bacteria represent a serious public health threat. For that reason, the development of new and effective antibiotics to control pathogens has become necessary. The current study aims to search for new microorganisms expressing antibiotic production capacity. Fifteen sites covering a wide range of harsh environmental conditions in Egypt were investigated. Two hundred and eighty bacterial isolates were obtained and then tested against pathogenic bacteria using the agar disk diffusion technique. Fifty-two (18.6% of the total) of the isolates exhibited antagonistic properties, which affected one or more of the tested pathogens. The isolate 113 was identified as Bacillus licheniformis and isolate 10 was identified as Brevibacillus borstelensis using the 16S rRNA technique. The B. licheniformis strain was stronger in antibiotic production against S. typhi, M. luteus, and P. ariginosa, whereas the strain Br. borstelensis was more efficient against B. cereus, E. coli, and Klebs. sp. The sensitivity of the strains to commercial antibiotics showed that B. licheniformis was highly sensitive to seven commercial antibiotics, whereas Br. borstelensis was sensitive to nine antibiotics. The two strains were subjected to ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) mutagenesis to obtain mutants with a higher antibiotic production. The total bacterial count was measured after treatment with EMS mutagen and showed a significant gradual increase in the antimicrobial activity, which was achieved via shaking in the presence of EMS for 60 min. High antimicrobial activities were noted with 17 and 14 mutants from the B. licheniformis and Br. borstelensis strains, respectively. The mutant B. licheniformis (M15/Amo) was more active than the parent strain against S. aureus (212.5%), while the mutant Br. borstelensis (B7/Neo) was more effective against S. typhi (83.3%). The present study demonstrates the possibility of obtaining potent antibiotic-producing bacteria in hot spring waters and further improving the indigenous bacterial capacity to produce antibiotics by using EMS mutagenesis.
This article presents a comparative assessment of the purchasing and consumer prices of bulls and castrated bulls live weight and carcasses of the dually productive (meat and dairy) taking into account the age of the animals and growth and fattening up - low, moderate, or intensive. The data were ranked by categories - super, prime, extra, excellent, good, satisfactory, low - in accordance with the current regulatory document (standard) GOST 34120-2017 "Cattle for slaughter. Beef and veal in carcasses, half-carcasses and quarters. Technical conditions." The empirical basis of this study was data from the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), data on the meat yielding capacity of young cattle, and data provided in the studies of Russian scientists. In the course of research, generally accepted methods were used: analysis, comparison, generalization; special scientific methods used: abstract-logical, economic-statistical. The weight discrepancies from the delivery of young cattle by live weight and by carcass weight are analyzed, which later on down the line add to the meat processing plants costs and, as a consequence, on the consumer value of meat and meat products. The authors note that with a low and moderate level of cultivation and fattening, when handing over young cattle by live weight, there is an overestimation of the price, as in fact the actual slaughter yields of the carcasses correspond to the categories below.
Emissions from fossil fuels are expected to increase in accordance with the global economy, which causes the development of alternative non-hydrocarbon sources in energy production. Biodiesel is one of the best options, among other sources, due to its low footprint. Russia does not have a smart policy of state support for biofuel production. The work objective was to determine whether it is necessary to develop equipment for biodiesel production, taking into account the structure of cultivated areas and available technologies; to calculate economic indicators of biodiesel production for agricultural needs; to compare the options for spring rape cultivation; as well as calculate the government support optimal level. As research methods, the authors used the apparatus of economic and mathematical modeling, and the method of absolute, relative and average values. Statistical tables are used to present the research results. Based on our study results, it is proven that the homemade biodiesel production by agricultural enterprises is economically justified. The equipment needed for its production was determined, the main economic indicators of the fuel production type and the optimal value of monetary and labor costs were calculated, and the gross and market biofuel values were obtained. The optimum level of government support for biofuel production in the Middle Volga region should be EUR 13.223 million, and the area planted with oil crops should be increased by 47.1 thousand ha.
Recent studies have shown that the gut microbiota plays an important role in the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal diseases in various animal species. There are only limited data on the microbiome in cats with varying grades of dysbiosis. The purpose of the study was a detailed analysis of the quantitative and qualitative fecal microbiota spectrum in cats with intestinal dysbiosis of varying severity. The data obtained indicate that, depending on the dysbiosis severity in cats, the intestinal microbiome landscape changes significantly. It has been established that, depending on the dysbiosis severity, there is a shift in the balance between the Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial pools and in the nature of the isolation of specific bacteria forms, in the amount of obligate microbiota isolation, as well as individual facultative strains. When analyzing the serotyping of E. coli cultures isolated at various grades of intestinal dysbiosis severity, differences were found both in the isolation amount of various serotypes from one animal and in the prevalence of certain serotypes for each disease severity. A retrospective analysis of the fecal microbiota sensitivity in cats with dysbiosis to antibacterial drugs showed that, depending on the disease severity, the number of isolates sensitive to antibiotics increases significantly.

Cognitive distortions are systematic errors made by people who participate in managing a complex technical system. From 60 to 90% of disasters occur due to cognitive distortions in the complex technical system management. The purpose of this work is to develop a mathematical apparatus for estimating cognitive distortions when assessing the complex technical system vulnerability by using the criterial modeling methods. In this study, cognitive distortions are interpreted as various kinds of systematic errors, as well as traditional distortions that occur in certain situations and that are based on the misrepresentations about the vulnerability of complex technical system and on the need to make decisions about their parrying. Complex technical systems have allocated parts (managed subsystems), participation in the system of people, machines and the natural environment, material, energy and information links between parts of systems, as well as the links between the system under consideration and other systems, etc. The object of this study is to find cognitive distortions that have an impact on estimating complex technical system vulnerabilities. The subjects of this study are criterial modeling methods that make it possible to estimate cognitive distortions when assessing vulnerability at all the levels of complex technical system management and thereby reduce the risks of accidents and disasters. Examples of criterial modeling methods implementation for cognitive distortions estimation in the vulnerability of the banking and transport systems are given.
In the conditions of limited possibilities of traditional regulation of production processes in bioagrocenoses it is necessary to find ways to increase their potential yield due to excessive man-made resources such as sludge from recycled wastewater.Ecological technologies of waste-free production, including the sludge sediment utilization as bio-fertilizer on agricultural fields, are a very promising direction of stabilizing the degradation processes of reducing soil fertility as well as increasing the moisture capacity, which is especially important for arid regions of the world. With the growth of suburban settlements the problem of high-quality wastewater treatment of individual buildings and, accordingly, the ecological well-being of these areas has become so urgent that it requires the development and creation of modern compact bio-cleaning modules, which should provide deep destruction of biogenic elements and possibility of secondary use of man-made resources without restructuring existing septic tanks and periodically exporting wastewater. In particular, it is a possibility to use purified water for irrigation of household plots or other technical needs, and to use sludge as a biofertilizer enriched with macro-and microelements.Ecological technologies of waste-free production, including the utilization of sludge from biological stations on agricultural fields as a bio-fertilizer, are very promising ways of stabilizing the degradation processes of reducing soil fertility in addition to increasing their water-holding capacity.Studies on the impact of various doses of the bio-fertilizer on the water-physical properties and the degree of soil contamination, as well as on the quality and yield of potato tubers cultivated for seed in the arid climate of the Lower Volga region confirmed its high efficiency and environmental friendliness.
This research analyzes basic theoretical principles underlying a comprehensive environmental engineering assessment of agricultural areas based on an application of a common five-level measuring scale. It is recommended to include such a parameter as "state-impact" in the comprehensive assessment of the environmental situation. This indicator shows a position of natural environmental conditions in accordance with an influence on it. All elements of natural conditions of a particular area need an assessment of the environmental situation and environmental regulation. Moreover, the assessment is made on the basis of compliance with declared and performed environmental functions. It is desirable to pay attention to holistic approaches of the assessment of environmental functions. This can be achieved through the use of a single measuring scale for distribution of parameters and indicators for assessing the parameter values that are not beyond the allowed measurement area, properties of environmental components and the allowed degree of influence on them. The system of environmental assessment of agricultural projects in Russia is new, but its importance for social and economic life is great and it is the subject of ongoing research. Environmental constraints of agricultural activities during implementation of various projects allow the territory to be ranked according to the degree of environmental hazard at regional and local levels and determine admissibility of the future technological impacts on natural objects.
