A survey of twenty seven forest tree species revealed eleven (40 75%)had been damaged by termites. Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki was the termite species which inflicted most of the damage.Of eighty two individual trees that had been damaged by termites, eighty (97 56%) had been damaged by this pest.In this area, the main tree species damaged by termites were Robinia pseadoacacia .Ulmus pumila and Broussonetia papyrifera.
