Based on environmental characteristics and the requirement and use efficiency of light,heat,water and soil resources by crop in their developing process,this paper estimates the potential of land productivity in quantities by using step correcting method in agriculture and pasturage interlaced zone of northern Shaanxi . It is surveyed that in this region thermal productive potential is 44.94% of light productive potential; climate productive potential is 37.35% of thermal productive potential; and potential climate productivity is 33.39% of land productive potential. The conditions and behaviors of land productive potential in this region can be basically grasped thereby to reveal the constraints and their strengths affecting productive potential. At the same time, this paper describes the guiding suggestions of improving the land actual productivity.
