Objective To know the current status of CSSD in hospital management,in order to provide the basis for strengthening the CSSD management.Methods Questionnaires were used to investigate the current status of management CSSD of above-country-level medical institutions in Gansu Province.Results There were 14 hospitals investigated.CSSD was in centralized management in 9 hospitals;endoscopes and dental instruments were in centralized disposal of CSSD in 3 hospitals;outside instruments were in centralized disposal in 8 hospitals.CSSD was built in basements or sub basements in 3 hospitals;CSSD of some hospitals did not have complete cleaning and sterile instruments and personal protection goods.Conclusions There are gaps between the current management status of the CSSD of the surveyed medical institutions.The building facilities do not meet the standards,the devices are out-of-date or in lack,and there are problems in the quality of disinfection and sterilization.

Objective To know the implementation status of Standard for Hand Hygiene for Healthcare Workers in hospitals,and to provide guides for carrying out the hand hygiene measures further.Methods Questionnaires are used to survey the implementation situation of Standard for Hand Hygiene for Healthcare Workers in some hospitals of Gansu province.Results 203 medical staff from 14 hospitals are investigated who are working for newborn nursery,ICU,department of infectious diseases,department of stomatology,outpatient blood collection room.The rate range of being equipped with the hand hygiene facilities is between 26.11% to 91.63%;the rate of being equipped with surgical hand antisepsis facilities is between 19.70% to 82.27%;the rate of knowing various handwashing methods is between 31.03% to 96.55%;the rate of knowing the principles of surgical hand antisepsis is between 82.76% to 89.66%.Conclusion There is difference between the equipment rate of hand hygiene facilities in hospitals of Gansu province and the standard rate of the hand hygiene sector and the medical staff need to improve their knowledge of Standard for Hand for Healthcare Worker.
