To solve the dynamic accessing of geometric modeling for collaborative design,researched several key technologies and presented a distributed system structure of collaborative design.Developed the organization mode of dynamic data exchange,which carried out the real-time exchange and consistency of the dynamic data among the different platforms and CAD systems.Developed an object-oriented priority-based optimistic concurrency control protocol(OPOCCP),which ensured high efficiency and consistency of sharing model and data at different sites.Integrated all the technologies,realized the dynamic acces-sing technology of 3D geometric modeling for collaborative design.Finally,took an example to validate the dynamic accessing technologies.
With the development of economy globalization, Knowledge Management System (KMS) has emerged as a major issue that designers or companies must deal with. KMS opens up another domain for building new engineering design methodology, which is highly creative, knowledge-intensive, extensive information exchange and communication among distributed teams. KMS overcomes the obstacles of failling to provide adequate support and integrating product information due to their inflexible data structures in traditional design method Asphalt Paver works as a construction machine mainly used,for the paving project on the road base and surface for highway of various kinds of material. Screed is the kernel function part of paver, so researching the new design approach of screed is the key for developing new pavers. In this paper, we advocate a knowledge management system for screed design of Asphalt Paver, develop the framework and express the implement process of KMS.
With the rapid advancement of science and information technology, new sources in many academic fields offer expanded opportunities for collaborative teaching. This paper presents innovation base hardware-in-loop for remote collaborative teaching (IBHILRCT), which allows students to become active and reflective learners by engaging activities in such innovation base. The research highlights the options that integrating the software & hardware resources, real & virtual resources, even virtual reality with hardware-in-loop, is the kernel for remote collaboration teaching Internet-based. Educators may consider innovation base as main part of their teaching and learning strategies. The development of IBHILRCT satisfying the needs of some specific education domain is getting more and more research attention in this era of popular Internet. The characteristics, many technical issues and applying situation of IBHILRCT are analyzed. The new type innovation base is coming into a more extensive, quantitative evaluation of educational efficiency for modern university education.
Manufacturing industry is challenged with the task of mass customization in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Knowledge Management (KM) can provide a new approach needed to manage intellectual capital as a valuable organizational resource for supporting customized preferences, so a framework of knowledge management for Mass Customization (MC) was developed. Knowledge management makes mass customization a more viable strategy for manufacturers as they work to meet changing customer needs and desires. The purpose of this research is to establish a Knowledge management framework Internet-based for mass customization to effectively analyze knowledge, provide solutions, support customer customization, evaluate the data and advance mass customization level.
