The studies was conducted using PC, TLC, UV-spectroscopy, titrimetry. The component composition of the essential oil was studied by GLC-MS on the gas chromatograph Agilent 6890 with quadrupole mass spectrometer (HP MSD 5973N). About 50 individual components were found, 30 of them for the first time. Vitamins (ascorbic acid, carotenoids), polysaccharides, phenolic compounds (flavonoids, phenolcarbonic acids, tannins), essential oil were found in all organs of the plant. Saponins are present in flowers and herbs, but not found in fruits. The presence of acacetin, apigenin, quercetin, tilianine, rosemary acid, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid was found. The difference in the content of biologically active substances in different organs was established. The dominant groups in different parts and organs of the plant are essential oil, phenol carboxylic acids, carotenoids, ascorbic acid. Flavonoids and chlorophyll in all organs of this species belong to the group of minor BAS.
The search for new drugs to reduce the toxic effects of alcohol on the body is based on the creation of various pharmaceutical agents that affect the toxicokinetics and/or toxicodynamics of ethanol. A differentiated approach is needed in the pharmacotherapy of alcoholism due to the different clinical typologies of the condition. Compared with synthetic drugs, herbal remedies have multiple types of activity, which complement their efficacy. Research and development of technology for the manufacture of new drugs based on the hairy agrimony ( Agrimonia pilosa ) are promising. Experimental studies in which white outbred mice were tested in an open field showed that a hairy agrimony extract reduced orientational-exploratory behavioral activity and contributed to adaptation of the animals to stress. Mice treated with agrimony extract showed a reduction in sensitivity to administration of ethanol: the latent period of falling asleep was reduced by a factor of 1.6 and the duration of sleep decreased by a factor of 3 compared with the group of mice given starch paste. Rats treated with agrimony extract at doses of 100 and 150 mg/kg showed reductions in the duration of ethanol-induced sleep by factors of 1.8 – 2.4 as compared with animals treated with St. John’s wort extract, indicating that the extract had a detoxifying effect. Hairy agrimony extract significantly reduced grooming in all groups of animals, this being associated with its anti-anxiety effect and of great importance in terms of reducing the development of delirium in acute alcohol intoxication.
Introduction. Lemna minor L. (duckweed) refers to the duckweed subfamily (Lemnaceae S. F. Gray) and widely distributed in ponds of Russia. Literature data confirm the possibility of harvesting significant volumes of this raw material in natural habitat and grown in aquaculture. The process of biosynthetic accumulation in duckweed fronds provides a variety of compounds with a wide spectrum of biological activity. Therefore, the use of raw materials Lemna minor L. is promising for the development of drugs and parapharmaceutical products. Thus, it is an urgent task to quantify active components of duckweed and standardize (determination of criteria for identification, quality and safety) plant material.Aim. This study is aimed at investigating effects of pre-sowing seed treatment of Medicago sativa L. nothosubsp. varia (Martyn) Arcang., Sarga variety, with SiO2 nanoparticles produced by laser ablation in a liquid. The purpose of the study is to investigate effects of suspensions of silicon dioxide nanoparticles at different concentrations on biological and physiological characteristics of M. sativa L. nothosubsp. varia in natural agroclimatic conditions of the subtaiga zone in Western Siberia. The study has shown that the pre-sowing seed treatment of M. sativa L. nothosubsp. varia (Martyn) Arcang., Sarga variety, with silicon dioxide nanoparticles at different concentrations has a stimulating effect on contents of chlorophyll, carotenoids, and non-steroidal phytoestrogens in a vegetative part of the plant, as well as biometric and morphometric parameters, yield, and phytoremediation potential. It has been established that M. sativa is hypersensitive to the studied pre-sowing seed treatment with suspensions of SiO2 nanoparticles at different concentrations, which determines the specificity of changes in physiological parameters, including increase in contents of photosynthetic pigments, isoflavonoids, and hydroxycinnamic acids in the plant exposed to suspensions of SiO2 nanoparticles. A significant increase in the content of biologically active substances under the influence of SiO2 nanoparticles indicates the high sensitivity of M. sativa and the specific role of nanoparticles in stimulating the biosynthesis of biologically active substances. The findings of the study demonstrate that pre-sowing seed treatment of M. sativa L. nothosubsp. varia (Martyn) Arcang., Sarga variety, with ultrafine silicon dioxide nanoparticles at different concentrations, had a stimulating effect on biological and physiological characteristics of M. sativa L. nothosubsp. varia (Martyn) Arcang., Sarga variety.
